oral pain inside his mouth/bothersome than painful; This spontaneous case was reported by a consumer and describes the occurrence of ORAL PAIN (oral pain inside his mouth/bothersome than painful) in a 61-year-old male patient who received mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (batch no. 1003B21A) for COVID-19 vaccination. The patient's past medical history included Oral surgery NOS. Concomitant products included LEVOTHYROXINE SODIUM (LEVOTHYROXIN) and LOSARTAN for an unknown indication. On 18-Mar-2021, the patient received first dose of mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (Intramuscular) 1 dosage form. On 08-Apr-2021, the patient experienced ORAL PAIN (oral pain inside his mouth/bothersome than painful). The patient was treated with ASPIRIN [ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID] ongoing since an unknown date at an unspecified dose and frequency. At the time of the report, ORAL PAIN (oral pain inside his mouth/bothersome than painful) had not resolved. The action taken with mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (Intramuscular) was unknown. Patient had some extensive oral surgery on his right side in his 20's and wondered if that is why he was experiencing this symptom.

Symptomtext

This spontaneous case was reported by a consumer and describes the occurrence of ORAL PAIN (lower oral pain along left gum line), GINGIVAL SWELLING (swelling inside mouth along left gum line), HYPOAESTHESIA ORAL (numbness) and FEELING ABNORMAL (more bothersome than painful) in a 57-year-old female patient who received mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (batch no. 1003B21A) for COVID-19 vaccination. The patient's past medical history included Gum disorder (gum resection and grafting.). Concomitant products included MULTI VIT and ECHINACEA PURPUREA ROOT, OLEA EUROPAEA LEAF, SAMBUCUS NIGRA FRUIT (ELDERBERRY ECHINACEA & OLIVE LEAF) for an unknown indication. On 18-Mar-2021, the patient received first dose of mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (Intramuscular) 1 dosage form. On 08-Apr-2021, the patient experienced ORAL PAIN (lower oral pain along left gum line) and GINGIVAL SWELLING (swelling inside mouth along left gum line). On 13-Apr-2021, the patient experienced HYPOAESTHESIA ORAL (numbness) and FEELING ABNORMAL (more bothersome than painful). The patient was treated with ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID (ASPIRIN (E.C.)) at a dose of UNK dosage form. At the time of the report, ORAL PAIN (lower oral pain along left gum line) and HYPOAESTHESIA ORAL (numbness) was resolving and GINGIVAL SWELLING (swelling inside mouth along left gum line) and FEELING ABNORMAL (more bothersome than painful) outcome was unknown. The action taken with mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (Intramuscular) was unknown.
