lump in arm; 3-inch red spot; Itch; A little redness; A spontaneous report was received from a 61 year old, female patient, concerning herself who received Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine (mRNA-1273) and experienced little redness, itch and 3-inch red spot and lump in her am. The patient's medical history was not reported. Concomitant medications was not reported. On 15 Jan 2021, prior to the onset of the events, the patient received their first of two planned doses of mRNA-1273 (Lot number: M013L20A) via unknown route and unknown anatomical Location for prophylaxis of COVID-19 infection. On 15 Jan 2021, the patient experienced a little redness. It went away, and on Saturday 23 Jan 2021, she started getting an itch on the site where the vaccine was. Now 25 Jan 2021 she had a 3-inch a red spot and lump in her arm. The patient went to urgent care on 25 Jan 2021. The patient was advised to take Benadryl and gave her steroids (Methylprednisolone) as a 5-day pack that started with 6 pills. Action taken with mRNA-1273 in response to the events was not reported. At the time of the report, the outcome of the events, erythema was resolved, pruritus and rash macular were considered as unknown.; Reporter's Comments: Based on the current available information and temporal association between the use of the product and the start date of the events, a causal relationship cannot be excluded.
