Symptomtext

Severe excrutiating bilateral shoulder joint pain and swelling in overall body joints making daily activities like reaching, squatting, twisting jars off caps, and typing for work almost impossible. Dull headache. Inability to sleep from pain. Motrin and tylenol, hot baths, and heating pad applied for several weeks. 5 days of 2, 200 mg prednisone tablets prescribed 12/21/22 resulting in shoulder pain diminishing but the side effect was extreme dizziness by day 5. After the drug ceased, have some overall swelling still but not the extreme shoulder pain and can resume activity.

On 11/29/2022, Patient received an influenza vaccine. The vaccine was received at pharmacy. Approximately 0800 hours on 11/30/2022, Patient started to experience upper respiratory issues, along with constant coughing. On 12/04/2022, Patient attended drill. During the first part of the morning, patient began experiencing slight dizziness/light-headedness. As the day progressed, patient became dizzier and lightheaded. Patient described the symptom as the equivalent of being intoxicated and began running a slight fever.

Symptomtext

Initial fatigue of first 32 hours was followed by gaseous distension of abdomen and some minor discomfort. Hour 44 started explosive diarrhea that lasted for a total of 17 hours. Gas-X (2 chewable tablets) taken initially, some relief until diarrhea started. Imodium (2 tablets) immediately administered. Diarrhea continued. Another Imodium tablet taken. Diarrhea returned. Another tablet taken. 4 hours later, diarrhea returned. Another Imodium tablet taken. Diarrhea continued. Another Imodium tablet taken. 45 minutes later, diarrhea ceased.

At 8 pm the next day I felt dizziness when walking or moving head, with nausea when feeling dizzy. The next day (October 13) I had same dizziness with tinnitus (fainting tinkling sound), partial hearing loss, and non-painful pressure in left ear. Head felt stuffy. No nose or eye abnormalities. Dizziness lessened by noon on October 13, but still feel unbalanced walking and feel dizzy when moving head. Ear problem remains but tinnitus diminished.

Severe muscle soreness at injection site, applied ice pack for several hours day of shot. Soreness persisted for several days. Severe side effects the night of the injection; woke up around midnight with high fever, violent shivering from chills, put on several layers of flannel night clothes and several blankets and went back to bed. Symptoms subsided by morning. However, ever since getting the shot, I have had a bad ear ache and pain in the neck on the side of the injection, and a mild sore throat. Still have it. May be coincidental?

I need to give a bit of history here, in order for this to make sense: Two days prior to getting vaccinated, I applied Artemisia annua tincture to a dark spot of sun damaged skin on my left bicep, and to two small, slightly raised areas of slightly rough, sun-damaged skin on my right wrist; this application was at about 10 pm on 09/21/2022. Approximately 24 hours later, at about 10 pm on 09/22/2022, I noticed that the application site on my left bicep was slightly red, slightly itchy, and slightly raised, but this was a very mild reaction compared to some I had had previously. The tincture-treated spots on my right wrist were completely unaffected: the skin color was normal, there was no itching and no swelling. I remarked to my husband that the skin on my hands was obviously much tougher than the skin over my bicep, because I had had no allergic reaction to the tincture. NOW THE THE CRUX OF THE MATTER: Yesterday, after getting flu and Covid omicron booster shots at about 2:45pm, the only adverse reaction I noticed during the day, was very very slight soreness in the muscle around the injection sites. But then, sometime between 9 and 10 pm, the night after the injections (Sept. 23, 2022) I realized that my right wrist was extremely itchy, and when I touched it, it felt like someone had glued builder's sand to my skin. The skin where I had applied Artemisia annua tincture, two nights previously, had broken out in very very hard, bumps that covered the skin exactly where the tincture had been applied. These bumps were so hard that they really did feel like sand. The site on my bicep, where I had applied the same tincture at the same time two nights previously, was unaffected. This morning the bumps on my wrist were gone, and there was no itching. IN OTHER WORDS, THE VACCINATION INDUCED AN ALLERGIC REACTION IN SKIN THAT HAD BEEN EXPOSED TO AN ALLERGEN TWO DAYS PREVIOUSLY, AND HAD HAD NO REACTION UNTIL AFTER THE VACCINES WERE ADMINISTERED. AND, THE SKIN THAT HAD ALREADY HAD AN ALLERGIC REACTION TO THE ALLERGEN APPLICATION, HAD NO REACTION AFTER THE VACCINES WERE ADMINISTERED. This was obviously not a life threatening event for me, but it does seem to me to suggest that exposure to allergens BEFORE vaccination, might actually be dangerous for some people. This is why I made this report.

Shrimp, chocolate, latex, gluten, Artemisia annua. Shrimp and chocolate induce vomiting within ten minutes. Latex causes blistering. Artemisia annua is an herb that I have been experimenting with for its ability to clear up and remove dark blotches and roughened skin caused by overexposure to sun; unfortunately, I self-induced an allergy to Artemisia annua by overzealous testing on myself--topical application of A. annua induces an allergic reaction which consists of itchy, reddened, slightly swollen skin. The tincture works well on some types of sun damage. The allergy has been getting a bit less severe in the past year.

Covid shot and flu vaccine were given one inch apart in left arm. Currently having a long (approximately 6 inch by 4 inch) red, itchy, warm to touch, swelling rash. Pharmacy has told me it will last 48 hours. Doctor's office has said to take Benadryl despite also taking Zyrtec. I am filling this form out so that the CDC does not recommend both shots in the same arm. Because of this for me, I have no idea if the flu shot or the Covid 19 Moderna Updated Booster 18+ is the cause of my reaction. I have never had a flu shot do this, nor has any of the other 4 Covid Moderna shots and boosters I've received over the course of Covid 19 pandemic, so I can't go from past experience.

5 minutes after receiving the vaccine I was driving home when my vision and hearing started swimming and I felt very nauseous and like I was about to lose consciousness. I narrowly avoided an accident and was able to pull over. Thankfully my vision and hearing returned to normal after about another five to ten minutes. I have never had a reaction to a vaccine like this before - it was a terrifying experience.

Symptomtext

Symptoms began to appear the following morning starting with a sore throat. General tiredness and lethargy progressed throughout the day. Symptoms peaked that night (9/04) with a fever of 101.5 degrees Fahrenheit at approximately 11 PM, extreme tiredness, headache, and mild nausea. Over-the-counter medications such as NightQuil were taken to alleviate symptoms. The next two days had symptoms lessened to coughs and stuffed/runny nose.

The reporter is the patient. A 51-year-old female patient (not pregnant) received BNT162b2, BNT162b2 omi ba.4-5 (BNT162B2, BNT162B2 OMI BA.4-5), on 15Nov2022 at 10:00 as dose 4 (booster), single (Lot number: G56796) at the age of 51 years, in right arm for covid-19 immunisation; influenza vaccine inact sag 4v (FLUCELVAX QUAD), on 15Nov2022 as dose 1, single (Lot number: 70461032203), in left arm for immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history included: "General Anxiety" (unspecified if ongoing). Concomitant medication(s) included: SERTRALINE; CLONAZEPAM; XYZAL. Vaccination history included: BNT162b2 (Dose Number: 1, Batch/Lot No: Unknown. Looks like ER8737, Location of injection: Arm Right), administration date: 05Apr2021, when the patient was 50-year-old, for COVID-19 Immunization; BNT162b2 (Dose Number: 2, Batch/Lot No: Unknown. Looks Looks like, EW0173, Prev dose vaccine location= Right arm), administration date: 05May2021, when the patient was 50-year-old, for Covid-19 immunization; BNT162b2 (Dose Number: 3, Batch/Lot No: Unknown.
