Dizzy; Little more tired; He had cotton mouth; He was parched; He thought he was dying/Felt like he was buzzed or had taken drugs; Allergic reaction; This spontaneous case was reported by a consumer and describes the occurrence of FEELING ABNORMAL (He thought he was dying/Felt like he was buzzed or had taken drugs), HYPERSENSITIVITY (Allergic reaction), DIZZINESS (Dizzy), DRY MOUTH (He had cotton mouth) and THIRST (He was parched) in a 64-year-old male patient who received mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (batch nos. 037b21a and MOD044A21A) for COVID-19 vaccination. The occurrence of additional non-serious events is detailed below. The patient's past medical history included SARS-CoV-2 rapid diagnostic test (Positive) on 27-Oct-2020. On 17-Mar-2021, the patient received first dose of mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (unknown route) 1 dosage form. On 14-Apr-2021, received second dose of mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (unknown route) dosage was changed to 1 dosage form. On 15-Apr-2021, the patient experienced FEELING ABNORMAL (He thought he was dying/Felt like he was buzzed or had taken drugs), HYPERSENSITIVITY (Allergic reaction), DRY MOUTH (He had cotton mouth) and THIRST (He was parched). On 22-Apr-2021, the patient experienced FATIGUE (Little more tired). On an unknown date, the patient experienced DIZZINESS (Dizzy). At the time of the report, FEELING ABNORMAL (He thought he was dying/Felt like he was buzzed or had taken drugs), HYPERSENSITIVITY (Allergic reaction), DIZZINESS (Dizzy), DRY MOUTH (He had cotton mouth) and THIRST (He was parched) had resolved and FATIGUE (Little more tired) outcome was unknown. Concomitant medications were not provided by the reporter. Based on the current available information and temporal association between the use of the product and the start date of the events, a causal relationship cannot be excluded. Treatment for the event included IV (intravenous) therapy in emergency room. Action taken with mRNA-1273 in response to the events was not Applicable.
