6/1/21 Hgb 10.8, Platelets 86. 6/8/22 Hgb 8.7,Platelets 5\ The overall findings in this bone marrow including serous atrophy and low cellularity favor a reactive process such as nutrition insuffuciency and medication effect. PERIPHERAL BLOOD SMEAR: RBCs: Normocytic and normochromic anemia with anisocytosis. Polychromasia is prominent. A few teardrop cells and rare schistocytes are noted. Many nucleated RBCs are present, accounting for 22/100 QBCs. A subset of the nucleated RBCs have dysplastic features including irregular nuclear lobes and megaloblastoid change. WBCs: Granulocytes are slightly left shifted, no circulating blasts are identified. Lymphocytes are small and mature. Large granular lymphocytes are noted. PLTs: Thrombocytopenia. No platelet changing is seen.
