I woke up at approx. 2:30 am the next morning with my mouth (tongue and lips), eyes, and inside of nose on fire, as if dipped in hot sauce. Anywhere I touched burned. It felt like it was coming out of my pores, and I jumped into the shower to rinse off, spreading "it" everywhere. The redness and blisters would migrate every hour or so. One minute it was my tongue, then it would show up on my chest. I called the advice nurse who instructed me to take a Benedryl. My tongue and throat were tingling. The Benedryl helped, and I was able to go back to bed but woke up four hours later worse than before. I called again and my PCP was alerted. via email. She prescribed a run of Prednisone and that stopped it, however after the run was over, it started again. A second run of Prednisone was taken. Upon completion, my throat started to tingle again, then stopped. I have pictures of the hives, swelling, and blisters on my tongue, lips, eye, and chest, I cannot take the second dose, per PCP.
