On 07Mar2021, the patient experienced psoriasis flare-up. on an unspecified date, the patient experienced "she calls the psoriasis itch, and caller was having anxiety. Caller reported that before COVID even happened in the US, the caller was told she had the sugar. Caller had worked hard to get her sugar down, and she lost like 40-50 pounds when she was being good. But then caller went from like 310 pounds, to 360 and now she is back down to about 350. But what caller is getting at, is the caller does not know if she currently has diabetes or not. Caller is currently not eating sugar because she has a physical coming up and she does not want to have the sugar on her lab works, but she does not know if during all this she has the sugar diabetes or not. Caller also wanted to include that Friday morning, before getting the shot, she got a Psoriasis rash on the top of her breast where it was red, and she just put ice on it. But that is what caller is getting at, is that it is not uncommon for her to have flare ups, but she thinks maybe the shot brought it out more. Caller has a history of Psoriasis, and she was previously on Otezla, but she stopped taking that in Sep2020. Caller reported that she spoke to her Dermatologist and asked him if she should get the COVID-19 vaccine and he told her yes. Caller stated that after the injection, she noticed a little lump on her elbow, which the caller's sister, who was a pharmacist, told the caller was normal and that it is just a swollen lymph node and that was common after this type of injection. Caller stated that the next day, she had a stuffy and running nose. Caller reported that it was common for her to get little flare ups of her Psoriasis, like on her right ankle and the top of her right foot, that was common. Caller stated that she was having a Psoriasis flare up, she had noticed her arm had a line with the red on it, so she put ice on it, and last night, the caller had it bad on her head, where she could feel the burning heat that she called the Psoriasis itch. Caller stated that she put ice on her head and told her sister that she hopes she was not going to die. Caller was having anxiety, and then she felt the Psoriasis heat on her face and neck and shoulder, and she was on hold until 3 AM. Caller reported her pharmacist sister told her to take Benadryl, which caller did have but it was expired, so her sister told her to take Theraflu because it has some of that stuff in it, so caller did that. Caller reported that her question initially was to ask if she was going to die. Caller reported that she still feels it a little bit in the back of her head, but it is coming and going. Caller was wondering if this kind of Psoriasis itch flare up is common in people with a history of Psoriasis after getting the COVID-19 shot, and caller was wondering if she should get the second shot. Caller stated that her main priority is to not die, and she also did not want to go to the hospital if she did not have to, so it was a catch 22. It was reported that caller had the vaccine shot on Friday at 10:30am, and she noticed the lump the same day, around 2pm that afternoon. Caller confirmed it was ongoing but improved. Caller first knew it was there because she leaned on the table and it hurt and then she felt the lump, so she called her pharmacist sister, who told the caller that she knew of someone else who got a lump under their arm. No further details provided about this other person. Caller confirmed she had her vaccine injection in her left arm and the lump was also in the left arm. Caller reported that it has been all over, it was on the right ankle and foot, the left arm, both palms of her hands, the top of her thumb, then on the right side of her face and neck, to the top of her shoulder and back, to the top of her head and her lower head and neck. Caller stated that it was constantly traveling, and right now it is on her ears. Caller reported this started yesterday, and it has improved at this time because she has not needed to use ice this morning. Caller first provided, and confirmed, the lot number as: ENG1996121. Later, caller states that the G may be a 6, making the lot number: EN61996121. Caller was unsure which one the lot number actually was. Caller confirmed this lot number was written on the personal vaccine card. Indication: For COVID prevention, and because of the caller's weight and history of Psoriasis, she falls into the high-risk category of people that could go on a ventilator and die from COVID. Caller stated that she does know people who have died from COVID. Otherwise, caller did not want the shot. Adverse event did not require a visit to emergency room or physician office. Caller stated that she has not gone to the ER or her doctor yet because she is still alive, and even without the vaccine, sometimes she just gets flare ups. Therapeutic measures were taken as a result of lump on elbow/vaccine injection in her left arm and the lump was also in the left arm, stuffy and running nose, stuffy and running nose, psoriasis flare-up, she calls the psoriasis itch, caller was having anxiety.
