A 62-years-old female patient received BNT162B2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 MRNA VACCINE, solution for injection, Lot Number: 6955, expiry date not reported) via an unspecified route of administration, administered in left arm on 25Mar2021 (at the age of 62 years old as reported) as dose 2, single for covid-19 immunization. Medical history included known allergies to insects, bees and penicillin products. The patient was not pregnant at the time of the vaccination and report. The patient had no concomitant medications. The patient did not receive any other vaccines within 4 weeks prior to the COVID vaccine. The patient had not received other medications within 2 weeks of vaccination. The patient previously received Covid-19 vaccine (bnt162b2) for covid-19 immunisation on 04Mar2021 at 2:00pm at the age of 62 years old (lot number EN6204) administered in the right arm. The patient previously took amoxicillin and experienced allergy. On 27Mar2021 12:00, two days after shot, the patient had swelling all over face, neck, lymphnodes, abdomen, and hands. Doctor said to take Benadryl however patient had continued swelling and went back to doctor and was given 5 day methylprednisone. Patient was then still swelling and got steroid shot. One day fine, then back to swelling in all areas. On Saturday, patient had 3 day steroid shot. Water retention still in hands, neck abdomen, breasts, and lymphnodes (since 27Mar2021 12:00). Patient was taking claritin/ benydryl to help with symptoms and worst in the morning when awaken. Patient was sleeping sitting up. The events resulted in doctor or other healthcare professional office/clinic visit and emergency room/department or urgent care. The events were reported as serious medically significant. Therapeutic measures were taken in response to the events which included steroid shots, and antihistamines, along with prednisone. Since the vaccination, the patient has not been tested for COVID-19. The patient had not recovered from the events reported.
