List of any other medications the patient received within 2 weeks of vaccination included Calcium Gummies, Glucosamine HCI, D3, nails gummie. The patient does not have any Allergies to medications, food, or other products. No other vaccine received in four weeks. Patient is not pregnant at the time of vaccination. Patient had not been diagnosed with COVID-19 prior to vaccination and had not tested positive since the vaccination. On 07Apr2021 03:30 PM the patient experienced, Severe case of shingles. Started of as what I thought were side effects of the vaccine. Sore at injection site. Body aches in major muscle areas-upper arms, waist, mid chest, mid back and thighs. Pain intensified over second day, a rash started to develop under my right breast and spread from mid chest in a 2 band width around 1/2 of my body, under my right arm to mid back. Had a stuffy nose and tickle at the back of my throat that triggered a dry cough. It hurt to breath but was able to get air. When pustules started to develop 4 days after the vaccine guessed it might be shingles and went to Urgent Care at (withheld). Major soreness was gone 3 days after vaccine but the afore mentioned body parts remained tender to the touch for 4-5 days and on day 6-7 turned to itchy/pins stuck in my skin sensation around the rash area that are still present today. I AM concerned that my second shot scheduled for 29Apr2021 will develop into a second case of shingles. please advise. She had two numbers to call from when she got her COVID19 Vaccine. She only had her first dose. She did the self reporting tool. She developed Shingles exactly 24 hours after she received the shot. It seems coincidental. She went to urgent care. When it got worse she had to go to Urgent Care because it was a Friday night and her GP was not available. She went to her facility's Urgent Care in (withheld). It wasn't a fly by night urgent care. It was very good and they reported it to her doctor. They had her medical records there. She thought it was side effects from the vaccine. She got the vaccines on the sixth. It started with the aches. Caller clarified that she reported this previously on Pfizer safety reporting online. It started with body aches. The aches started around the injection site then she started getting body aches over the entire body in major muscle groups areas. Then it progressed to a rash. She thought it was a side effect. It's harder on women than men. She was tender to touch in those area. She had a dry cough. Stuffy nose, there was no dripping. She was tired and lethargic. It was nothing major. She was able to go out and do stuff. On day two, so it was 24 hours after, she had a hard time breathing. It wasn't like she had trouble getting a breath but it hurt to breathe. Her doctor said that because of shingles parts of her body were inflamed and due to inflammation it hurt to take a breath. She didn't feel short of breath, but it was painful to breathe. After about 4 to 5 days the rash got worse and blisters started to developed. The body aches went away and were replaced by itchiness and pins around rash area. Her concern is because it was the first shot and she is going into day 16 and has another one scheduled for the 29th. Is shingles a common side effect? Does she take a risk of getting the second dose of the COVID vaccine or will it intensify what currently hasn't gone away yet? She wants to know what is the effect of the second dose on an existing side effect that was experienced after first dose.
