Heart racing within minutes of the shot; Sporadic strong headaches; Sporadic fatigue; Blood pressure (BP); This is a spontaneous report from a contactable consumer, the patient. A 58-year-old non-pregnant female patient received first dose of BNT162b2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 mRNA VACCINE; Lot Number: PFER8727) via an unspecified route of administration in the left arm on 20Mar2021 (at the age of 58-years-old) as a single dose for COVID-19 immunisation. Medical history included blood pressure high (HBP), cardiovascular disease and gout. The patient had a history of allergy to sulpha based medications, penicillin and statins. Concomitant medications included aspirin (MANUFACTURER UNKNOWN), blood pressure (unspecified medication) and blood thinners (unspecified medication); all for unknown indications from unknown dates. Prior to vaccination, the patient was not diagnosed with COVID-19. Since the vaccination, the patient had not been tested for COVID-19. The patient did not receive any other vaccines within four weeks prior to the vaccination. On 20Mar2021, the patient had heart racing within minutes of the shot; she also experienced sporadic strong headaches, which lasted for about 60 seconds for 24-48 hours and had sporadic fatigue. On an unknown date in Mar2021, the patient had blood pressure (BP). The adverse events did not result in a visit to the doctor or other healthcare professional office/clinic visit, and emergency room/department or urgent care. Therapeutic measure was taken as a result of blood pressure (BP) and included treatment with clonidine, the patient took extra clonidine 0.05 mg to lower BP. The clinical outcomes of the events heart racing, headache and fatigue were resolved on an unknown date in Mar2021 while that of blood pressure abnormal was unknown at the time of the report. No follow-up attempts are needed. No further information is expected.
