Felt generally unwell; extreme fatigue; headache; head pressure; high levels of anxiety; feelings of numbness and tingling in my face and base of skull; feelings of numbness and tingling in my face and base of skull; feelings of weakness in my left arm and left side of neck and chest; nausea; heart fluttering; heart palpitations; increased blood pressure; vertigo; ear pressure; pain in left ear; This is a spontaneous report from a contactable consumer (patient). A 42-year-old female patient received bnt162b2 (BNT162B2), dose 1 via an unspecified route of administration, administered in Arm Left on 27Apr2021 (Lot Number: EW0164) at age of 42-year-old as dose 1, single for covid-19 immunisation. The patient is not pregnant at the time of the vaccination. Medical history included hashimoto's thyroiditis, iron-deficiency anemia. Concomitant medications within 2 weeks of vaccination included centrum multivitamin; levothyroxine sodium (SYNTHROID) at 125mg. The patient previously took penicillin and experienced allergy. The patient did not receive any other vaccines within 4 weeks prior to the COVID vaccine. The patient felt generally unwell day after vaccine on 28Apr2021 at 07:00 with extreme fatigue and headache. Side effects never went away. Worsening of condition and alarming new symptoms over the following two weeks (2021) prompted her to visit several doctors and the emergency room on one occasion. She experienced extreme headaches, head pressure, ear pressure/pain in left ear, high levels of anxiety, increased blood pressure, heart palpitations and fluttering, feelings of numbness and tingling in my face and base of skull, feelings of weakness in my left arm and left side of neck and chest, nausea and vertigo. No previous history of migraines, vertigo or high blood pressure. Bloodwork, urinalysis, CT scan and MRI of head showed no abnormalities. Months later, some symptoms have subsided, but she was on a twice daily dose of propranolol to control her blood pressure, anxiety and heart issues. She have been diagnosed with vertigo and have been receiving twice weekly vestibular therapy. Her health was still not where it was before this shot. The events resulted in doctor or other healthcare professional office/clinic visit and emergency room/department or urgent care. The patient was undergoing vestibular rehab therapy at time of the report. Prior to vaccination, the patient was not diagnosed with COVID-19. Since the vaccination, the patient had not been tested for COVID-19. The outcome of the events was resolving. No follow-up attempts are needed. No further information is expected.
