Her blood work showed that her vitamin D levels were extremely low; feeling discomfort and pain from the bottom of her ear, to her elbow on her left side; feeling discomfort and pain from the bottom of her ear, to her elbow on her left side; feeling discomfort and pain/ Especially around her injection site, she still had the sensation; feeling discomfort and pain/ Especially around her injection site, she still had the sensation; She was in extreme pain, to the point that she felt mentally delirious; She woke up with a stiff neck; On the left side of her neck, her lymph nodes are swollen; She felt anxious, emotional and upset; This is a spontaneous report received from a contactable consumer (patient). A 33-year-old patient received BNT162B2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 VACCINE), the first dose via unspecified route of administration in left arm on 29Apr2021 at 19:00 (lot number: EW0169PF) as single dose for COVID-19 immunization. The relevant medical history included felt her lymph nodes on the left side of her neck (For the past five years) and feel a little tender (there is no correlation for when they get tender/ It does not happen seasonal, or when she gets her periods. It just happens everyone in awhile). The patient's mother passed away suddenly on 15Jul2021 from heart attack. Concomitant medications were not reported. The patient previously took Vitamin C, fish oil, vitamin D3, vitamin B12 and methylfolate, all (for the past week) from unspecified date. The patient was calling about the first dose of the Pfizer covid vaccine. She had had a negative reaction to the covid vaccine. About a week and a half later, on Saturday 08May2021, she woke up with a stiff neck. She took some Tylenol. Over the next few days, she still had a stiff neck. On the left side of her neck, her lymph nodes are swollen. The next few days, it progressed. It became extremely painful, to the point that she felt mentally delirious. She made an appointment with her primary care physician. She saw her primary care physician on Tuesday, 04May2021. Her primary care physician sent her for blood work and prescribed her an anti anxiety medication. Her primary care physician told her that this was her bodies response to the covid vaccine. Her primary care physician had seen this in a few other patients. She left her primary care physician's office, in pain, felt anxious, emotional and upset. A few days later, and her pain was so terrible. Her blood work came back negative for an auto immune disease. Her blood work showed that her vitamin D levels were extremely low. She had known that for awhile and took supplements for it. Her pain became so bad, that she went to a walk in clinic. She felt like she got better care at the walk in clinic versus her primary care physician's office. The walk in clinic doctor put her on a prednisone nine day taper. The brand name of the prednisone is Deltasone. She was taking Deltasone 20mg tablets. The walk in clinic doctor also prescribed her a muscle relaxer named Robaxin. She was taking Robaxin 500mg. It was the third day of taking the steroid and muscle relaxer. She was still feeling discomfort and pain from the bottom of her ear, to her elbow on her left side. Especially around her injection site, she still had the sensation. For stiff neck: she thought that the steroid and muscle relaxer have covered up some of the pain, but she could still feel it. She was now better than she was on Saturday, 15May2021. She felt similar to what she was feeling on Saturday, 08May2021. For on the left side of her neck, her lymph nodes are swollen: They were not as tender now. She felt like it was also hard to tell because of her taking a muscle relaxer and steroid. She thought that prednisone decreased inflammation. For she was in extreme pain, to the point that she felt mentally delirious: On 07May2021, she would rate it a seven out of ten on a pain scale. On 15May2021, she would rate it a ten out of ten on a pain scale. Now she was feeling like it was a six out of a ten on a pain scale. She thought that it was improved. But she was still skeptic to see how she felt once all of her steroids were gone. She was very aware of what was going on with her body. She knew that something was going on. On 15May2021, the pain was unbearable. For she felt anxious, emotional and upset: Since 15May2021, her anxiety had subsided. Ever since she saw the doctor at the walk in clinic, and the doctor gave her a plan of taking prednisone and muscle relaxers. Her anxiety was pretty high end whenever she thought about getting the second dose of the covid vaccine. She had to cancel her second dose of the covid vaccine appointment. It correlated with the steroid. She wanted to give herself time to be off the steroid. She rescheduled her appointment for the second dose of the covid vaccine for Saturday, 05Jun2021. She was a hair stylist. She had heard from a ton of people, about ton of peoples stories, where the second dose of the covid vaccine gave people more of a reaction. She was very fearful to get the second dose. She was going to ask to get the second dose in her right arm. The events result in physician office visit and did not result in emergency room visit. The outcome of the events "she was in extreme pain, to the point that she felt mentally delirious", "She woke up with a stiff neck", "On the left side of her neck, her lymph nodes are swollen" was recovering, for the event "She felt anxious, emotional and upset" was recovered on 15May2021, while the other events were unknown.
