Symptomtext

Severe reactivation or worsening of psychosis within 24hr after each dose of Pfizer Covid 19 vaccine resulting in multiple hospitalizations after the second dose for psychotic symptoms including suicide attempt. Symptom-free and stable 1 year prior to vaccine dose. Father reporting on behalf of 26yo son. History of schizoaffective disorder since high school mainly social anxiety, and intermittent mild-to moderate depression and mild though blocking. Most recently before vaccine, completely stable for 1 year on maintenance of 60 mg Cymbalta only, finished college with IT degree, started job. Never smoker, never drug/alcohol user. Rapid reactivation to worst symptoms ever experienced after each dose. First episode lasted 3-4 days, occurred within 24hr after first dose. Second episode, ongoing since second dose occurred within 24hr of dose. Extreme paranoia, delusions, auditory and visual hallucinations and suicide attempt, never experienced prior, and requiring multiple hospitalizations. Currently hospitalized.
