6/18/21 I woke up at ~5 AM to whistling/wheezing/crackling noise when breathing, shortness of breath, restlessness, and inability to get comfortable. I felt some constriction in my chest, unable to get a deep breath. Also felt sensation of internal itching in chest. Rear nasal passages felt full and narrowed. I felt more comfortable when standing or pacing. I dressed in case I needed to go to hospital. After some time I took loratadine antihistamine, which did not provide immediate relief. However by ~ 7 AM worrisome breathing symptoms were subsiding enough for me to lie down and sleep, feeling fatigued and achy. Made appointment and at ~10:30 AM and saw nurse practitioner. NP did not think 6/1821 Episode was related to vaccine, but possibly related to other unidentified allergen. NP prescribed methylprednisolone pack to have on hand in case of recurrence, and recommended Benadryl rather than loratadine for a quick allergic relief. NP was more concerned with mild allergic symptoms ( mild facial itching, hive)* that had occurred within one hour of vaccination on 6/13/21, and recommended that I not take the second vaccine dose. * On 6/13/21, within the first hour after vaccine, I developed itching and mild redness on forehead, small hive on left cheek, sensation of itching inside chest and mild cough. I took a loratadine antihistamine and symptoms gradually subsided.
