Nausea; beat red; hot; Rash looked like a bullseye about 3inches in diameter going down her arm; pain in shoulder; swelling at the injection site; redness at the injection site; This case was received via an unknown source (no reference has been entered for a health authority or license partner) on 10-Feb-2021 and was forwarded to Moderna on 10-Feb-2021. This spontaneous case was reported by a consumer and describes the occurrence of ERYTHEMA (beat red), INJECTION SITE WARMTH (hot), INJECTION SITE ERYTHEMA (redness at the injection site), RASH PAPULAR (Rash looked like a bullseye about 3inches in diameter going down her arm) and ARTHRALGIA (pain in shoulder) in a 71-year-old female patient who received mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (batch no. 0266204) for COVID-19 vaccination. The occurrence of additional non-serious events is detailed below. The patient's past medical history included Hypothyroidism, Pancreatitis and Gastritis. Concurrent medical conditions included Drug allergy (Opiate drugs), Drug allergy (Demerol), Drug allergy (Diloxin), Drug allergy (Neurontin) and Allergy to chemicals (CT-scan dye). Concomitant products included LEVOTHYROXINE SODIUM (SYNTHROID) and OMEPRAZOLE (PROTONIX [OMEPRAZOLE]) for an unknown indication. On 01-Feb-2021, the patient received first dose of mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (unknown route) 1 dosage form. On 01-Feb-2021, the patient experienced INJECTION SITE ERYTHEMA (redness at the injection site), ARTHRALGIA (pain in shoulder) and INJECTION SITE SWELLING (swelling at the injection site). On 09-Feb-2021, the patient experienced ERYTHEMA (beat red), INJECTION SITE WARMTH (hot) and RASH PAPULAR (Rash looked like a bullseye about 3inches in diameter going down her arm). On an unknown date, the patient experienced NAUSEA (Nausea). At the time of the report, ERYTHEMA (beat red), INJECTION SITE WARMTH (hot), INJECTION SITE ERYTHEMA (redness at the injection site), RASH PAPULAR (Rash looked like a bullseye about 3inches in diameter going down her arm), ARTHRALGIA (pain in shoulder), INJECTION SITE SWELLING (swelling at the injection site) and NAUSEA (Nausea) outcome was unknown. The action taken with mRNA-1273 (Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine) (Unknown) was unknown. The patient reported that she had swelling and redness at the injection site. She also was nauseas. 8 days later, she had pain in shoulder. She looked and noticed rash. It looked like a bullseye about 3 inches in diameter. It was hot and beat red and was going down her arm. She wanted to know if this was normal or not. Treatment details were not reported.
