diarrhea; weakness; sick ever since; can't do anything; scared to receive the 2nd dose; vomiting; arm was sore; A spontaneous report was received from a consumer concerning a 78-year-old female patient, who received Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine (mRNA-1273) and experienced arm sore, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, sickness, inability to do anything and fear for the second dose. The patient's medical history includes allergies for codeine and morphine, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and open-heart surgery. Concomitant medications include high blood pressure medicine, high cholesterol medicine and blood thinners. On 21 Jan 2021, the patient received their first of two planned doses of mRNA-1273 (Batch Number: 0416204) in the left upper arm for prophylaxis of COVID-19 infection. On 22 Jan 2021, the patient experienced soreness in arm. On 23 Jan 2021, the patient experienced vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, sickness, inability to do anything and fear for the second dose. No treatment information was provided. Action taken with mRNA-1273 in response to the events was not reported. On 3/15/21 lips swelling took Benadryl Tagamet and Claritin 3/18/21 left side of face swollen throat closing up ER Benadryl, solucortef, Pepcid, epi 3/23, 3/24, 3/25 facial swelling throat closing up Benadryl prednisone epi 3/30/21 saw allergist 81 skin tests, 12 epidermal tests, blood tests all negative covid antibodies 121% and 176% diagnosed probable delayed adverse reaction to covid vaccine 4/15/21 joint and muscle pain and swelling saw allergist referred to rheumatologist saw rheumatologist and blood draws and X-rays on 5/3/21 started on plaaquenil saw rheumatologist on 5/17/21 histone antibodies 4.8 CRP 26.3 diagnosed with medication induced lupus unknown if related to covid vaccine started on Celebrex and high dose vit d unable to work, get out of bed
