sickness that led to a visit at the emergency room for COVID 19; sickness that led to a visit at the emergency room for COVID 19; This is a spontaneous report received from contactable reporter(s) (Consumer or other non HCP) from product quality group. The reporter is the patient. A 54-year-old male patient received BNT162b2 (BNT162B2), on 17Apr2021 as dose 1, single (Lot number: EB8731), in left arm and on 08May2021 as dose 2, single (Lot number: EW0176) at the age of 53 years, in left arm for covid-19 immunisation. The patient had no relevant medical history. There were no concomitant medications. The following information was reported: DRUG INEFFECTIVE (medically significant), SUSPECTED COVID-19 (medically significant) all with onset 2021, outcome "not recovered" and all described as "sickness that led to a visit at the emergency room for COVID 19". The event "sickness that led to a visit at the emergency room for covid 19" required emergency room visit. The patient underwent the following laboratory tests and procedures: SARS-CoV-2 test: Unknown results. Clinical information: Patient had no known allergies. Patient did not receive other vaccine in four weeks and no other medications in two weeks, patient did not have covid prior vaccination and was tested post vaccination. runny nose; Covid-19 vaccine cured allergies; Pain in arm; Little fatigue; This is a spontaneous report from a contactable consumer or other non-healthcare professional. Follow-up (PRD 23Apr2021) received from a contactable consumer was processed together with initial information. A 51-years-old male patient received first dose of bnt162b2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 VACCINE, Batch/Lot Number: EB8731), via an unspecified route of administration in left arm on 21Apr2021 at 12:00 as single dose for COVID-19 immunization. Medical history included ongoing allergic to dust, ongoing allergic to dust mites, ongoing allergic to cold air and ongoing allergic to pollen. Patient reported that he has been suffering from allergies every single year for many years. Patient reported that 10 years ago, he started having flu shots. Patient reported that they worked on his body for a few years then came back. Patient reported that flu shots made patient sick, ever since then, he had not gotten any vaccines at all. Patient reported that he doesn't get the flu. Patient also reported that his son has had the flu and he had been in close contact with his son when his son had the flu and the patient did not get the flu. Concomitant medication(s) included ongoing cetirizine hydrochloride (ZYRTEC ALLERGY) 10 mg, one pill every 2 days as needed for allergies. Patient did not take it for 2 days before getting vaccine. On 21Apr2021, patient experienced pain in arm (8 hours after the vaccination), patient reported that the place on his arm where the needle went in for the Covid-19 vaccine had pain. Patient reported that the pain was getting better and that if he pressed on the injection site there was not much pain and experienced little fatigue (at night). Patient reported that he played badminton on the night of 21Apr2021, (6 hours after the vaccination), played badminton for 2 hours and stopped. Patient reported that he thought that he might have been a little fatigued because he lost 2 badminton games. On 22Apr2021, patient experienced COVID-19 vaccine cured allergies. On an unspecified date, patient reported that when he woke up in the morning and came downstairs, he had a runny nose. Patient reported that he usually jogged daily and brang tissues with him because his nose would be running. Patient also reported that he really enjoyed walking outside with the sunlight and the air. Patient reported that yesterday on 22Apr2021, when he went jogging, he didn't have any runny nose at all. Patient reported that he was not having any problems with a runny nose at all, 23Apr2021.Patient mentioned that when he smells something or if he smells soap, later clarified as detergent or any fragrance, the runny nose will usually come right away. Patient also mentioned that he had not experienced this since getting the Covid-19 vaccine. Patient wanted to know the fundamental or principle behind Pfizer vaccine cured allergies. Patient also wanted to know if Pfizer had done any research on allergy cures or something that boosts the immune system. Patient reported that he told people on social media that the Covid-19 vaccine cured his allergies. Patient reported that he had so many friends that replied that had the same benefit from the Covid-19 vaccine. Patient reported that he was not a fan of taking medicine. Patient reported that even sometimes if he had a cold, he didn't take medication. Patient reported that instead of taking medication for a cold, he would eat spicy food to make himself sweat and drank lots of water. For LOT# Patient reported that the handwriting on his vaccine card was very bad, especially the second letter of the lot number. Patient reported that the letter looked like a B, but could be a P or an R (could be EB8731, ER8731 or EP8731). Patient reported that the lot number could be ER8731. Outcome of Covid-19 vaccine cured allergies was not recovered, pain in arm was recovering, little fatigue was recovered and runny nose was recovered on 22Apr2021. No follow-up attempts are needed.
