Around May, I started to have tingling in my face. I left it alone for about three weeks. I finally contacted my doctor and they wanted to rule out a stroke. I had an MRI and MRA and consults with neurologists, but everything came back negative. There was no other rhyme or reason as to why this happened. After all of the specialty tests were negative, I went back to my PCP. He talked to me about the management of the symptoms. He put me on a course of antiviral medication. He gave me valacyclovir and I am still taking it as of today. I still have tingling that occurs in my face, but it is less severe. I have an annual check-up in January, and we will see where we are at that point.
