I received my second Pfizer booster for COVID-19 on 4/1/2022. On 5/18/2022, I felt perfectly fine as I was taking my laundry from the washer and putting it into the dryer. However, as I was walking to the kitchen, I felt really bad really quick! It was a flu-like heaviness, and I immediately knew something was wrong. I suspected that I had COVID-19, as my niece had recently tested positive while visiting me. On 5/18/2022, I took an at-home test for COVID-19, and the result was positive. That day, I went to an urgent care clinic and was given a 5-day course of Paxlovid. It worked well and got rid of the symptoms, and I felt normal again. However, after I finished the Paxlovid, I woke up 5 days later with a scratchy throat, and I just knew the that COVID-19 hadn't left me. I called the urgent care clinic and asked them what I should do. They told me they would not give me more Paxlovid, as they wanted the vaccines to do their job. I isolated for 5 more days. I then tested myself again, and the result was negative.
