Symptomtext

Severe muscle spasms in my lower back, bottom, and upper legs. I also had severe shaking, and teeth chattering. I put heat, ice, and took two Advil. Nothing helped. The pain was debilitating. I could not get comfortable whether lying down, sitting, standing, or walking. I went to a local Hospital Emergency Room, and the doctor felt it was a reaction to the updated Pfizer booster that I had received earlier that day. She gave me a Valium. I was still having muscle issues the next day, so I went to my primary care doctor. She also felt that this was related to the Covid booster. She recommended continuing taking Advil, and called out a prescription for Cyclobenzaprine 5mg.

On 09/14/2022 I received my Covid-19 vaccine. On 02/15/2023 I started getting head, fever and congestion. After reaching out to the doctor I was prescribed Paxlovid. Symptoms lasted 7 days.

Treatment of COVID-19; Treatment of COVID-19; This is a spontaneous report received from a contactable reporter(s) (Physician) from product quality group. A 60-year-old female patient (not pregnant) received BNT162b2, BNT162b2 omi ba.4-5 (BNT162B2, BNT162B2 OMI BA.4-5), on 11Nov2022 as dose 5 (booster), single (Lot number: GU5342) at the age of 60 years, in left arm for covid-19 immunisation; BNT162b2 (BNT162B2), on 08Dec2020 as dose 1, single (Lot number: EK5730), on 08Jan2021 as dose 2, single (Lot number: EL1284), in left arm, on 28Sep2021 as dose 3 (booster), single (Lot number: 301358A), in left arm and on 01Apr2022 as dose 4 (booster), single (Lot number: FK9894), in left arm for covid-19 immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history included: "Hypertension" (unspecified if ongoing); "Seasonal allergies" (unspecified if ongoing); "asthma" (unspecified if ongoing). The patient's concomitant medications were not reported. The following information was reported: VACCINATION FAILURE (medically significant), COVID-19 (medically significant), outcome "unknown" and all described as "Treatment of COVID-19". The patient underwent the following laboratory tests and procedures: SARS-CoV-2 test: Positive, notes: Rebound COVID day 12 with positive rapid COVID antigen testing. Therapeutic measures were taken as a result of vaccination failure, covid-19. The patient was treated with Paxlovid from 23Jul2023 to 28Jul2023 (Oral).; Sender's Comments: The efficacy of a drug varies from patient to patient and can be affected by different factors; however, a contributory role of the suspect product to the reported event vaccination failure and COVID 19 cannot be ruled out.

Symptomtext

On 1/31/2023, I had a temperature of 104, and I was feeling unsteady on my feet. I didn't fall or anything, but I was weaving. I also had a runny nose. I took two home antigen tests, and I had a positive result on both. I went an urgent care on 2/2/2023. At the urgent care, I was prescribed Paxlovid and benzonatate. When I took the medicines, the temperature went down, and so did the unsteadiness. I began to feel better. I took another home antigen test on 2/8/2023 and got a negative result. I felt fine, but on 2/21/2023, I began having sinus congestion, and my ears were clogged and roaring. I didn't experience pain. I went to the pharmacist, who recommended that I take decongestant and nasal spray, so I got triamcinolone acetonide nasal spray and pseudoephedrine loratadine. After I began taking them, the congestion continued. On 2/22/2023, I went back to urgent care. I was given a prescription for azithromycin. They told me that the combination of azithromycin and the OTC medicines would help clear up my sinuses over a period of anywhere between 3-4 weeks to five months. They also told me that I had the symptoms of long COVID-19. I felt better, but the congestion continued, and on 3/15/2023, I went to the doctor. I was administered a pulmonary test. They referred me to a pulmonologist, whom I saw on 3/27/2023. The pulmonologist prescribed me Trelegy and azelastine hydrochloride nasal spray. He wanted me to undergo a chest CT scan, which I underwent earlier today. I should get the results in the very near future.

A 70-year-old male patient received BNT162b2, BNT162b2 omi ba.4-5 (BNT162B2, BNT162B2 OMI BA.4-5), on 10Oct2022 as dose 5 (booster), single (Lot number: GU5342) at the age of 69 years, in left arm for covid-19 immunisation; BNT162b2 (BNT162B2), in Dec2020 as dose 1, single (Lot number: EK9321), in left arm, in Jan2021 as dose 2, single (Lot number: EL3248), in left arm, in Oct2021 as dose 3 (booster), single (Lot number: FF2587), in left arm and in Apr2022 as dose 4 (booster), single (Lot number: FJ4989), in left arm for covid-19 immunisation. The patient's relevant medical history included: "Hypertension" (unspecified if ongoing); "Hyperlipidemia" (unspecified if ongoing).
