Symptomtext
Complete hearing loss in right ear on March 26th , 8 days after vaccination. Upon vaccination he first felt congestion in the right ear the next day. Congestion progressed to what we thought was an ear infection or sinus infection that had gone to the ear. Was treated on March 28 with Prednisone dose pack. On March 30th Z-pack antibiotic was added. On April 2, PCP changed antibiotic to doxycycline and upped the Prednisone. On April 5th referred to ENT specialist. On April 8th appointment with ENT, extensive hearing tests performed and diagnosis of complete hearing loss. Loss presented similar to "viral hearing loss."

- I do not know the names of the tests but they were various hearing tests performed by audiologist. Ear drum was completely normal. Patient has no history of hearing problems. Plan is to have an MRI of the brain to rule out any other issues.
