Symptomtext

I developed shingles at age 21 on October 11th, 2023. I never had chicken pox as a child. I am in school, however I have been under much more stress in my life than I am right now. My immune system may be under stress from being exposed to everything at clinical in the hospital, but I?ve been in school since May 2022. I had a recent infection in the same area as the shingles came to, and right before developing shingles I finished a cycle of cephalosporins and topical triamcinolone at the same site as the shingles. These medications were for an eczema exacerbation that my doctor believed became infected.

None that I know of, but I received MMR at the same time as the varicella shot. I received only one varicella shot because school required I complete my childhood series (I got 1 of 2 as a child). I received TDAP and HepB vaccines around this time as well, also for nursing school.

No additional AE reported; administered PROQUAD concomitantly with VARIVAX; This spontaneous report was received from an medical assistant and referring to a 13-month-old patient of unknown gender. The patient's medical history, concurrent conditions, concomitant therapies, drug reactions and allergies were not reported. On 28-NOV-2022, the patient was vaccinated with measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (oka-merck) virus vaccine live (recombinant Human albumin (rHA)) (PROQUAD) subcutaneous injection, lot #W012739, expiration date: 16-OCT-2023, concomitantly with varicella virus vaccine live (oka/merck) (VARIVAX) subcutaneous injection, lot #U002399, expiration date: 22-JAN-2023, administered for prophylaxis (both strength, dose and route of administration were not provided) (overdose). No additional adverse event (AE) reported (no adverse event).
