Immediate post-injection reaction Nausea Rash Vomiting

Symptomtext

Right and left upper arm body part only, with immediate rash after injecting Kinrix and Hepatitis A in Right Arm. Nausea and small vomit with saliva only occurred after ten minutes of all vaccine administration. Break between vaccines given and rash decreased. Child in sitting position to avoid falls. Promptly evaluated by nurse practitioner, no wheezing or swelling noted. Child talkative and stated feeling better after a few minutes. Observation completed for fifteen minutes. No other reactions noted. Educated mother on signs and symptoms of any other possible reaction.

Patient was inadvertently given an MMRV vaccine that had previously expired about 2 weeks prior to the date of vaccination. Clinic personnel did not observe any adverse events immediately after vaccine administration, and we did not receive a call from the patient's family following the vaccination regarding any adverse reactions.

no additional adverse event; A medical assistant reported that an expired dose of PROQUAD was administered to a patient. No additional AE's and no PQC's were reported.; This spontaneous report was received from a medical assistant concerning a patient of unknown age and gender. The patient's medical history, concurrent conditions and concomitant therapies were not reported. On 06-SEP-2022, the patient was vaccinated with an expired dose of measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (oka-merck) virus vaccine live (rHA) (PROQUAD) subcutaneous injection, lot #U006311, expiration date: 24-AUG-2022, administered as prophylaxis to prevent measles, mumps, rubella and varicella infection (strength, and route of administration were not provided) (expired product administered). No additional adverse events were reported.
