Symptomtext
Patient had just recovered from the flu weeks prior to injection of Gardasil and Influenza vaccines. The following morning, she woke up with severe body pain, nausea, dizziness, fatigue, brain fog and a severe headache all of which persisted for months. She was seen by several specialists and underwent blood work, brain scans, EEG's, tilt table tests, endoscopies, and gastric emptying scans since 2019 and has been diagnosed with encephalitis, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and slow gastric motility (gastroparesis). Pt has been unable to attend school since 01/29/2019 and has essentially missed all of middle school due to her inability to physically and cognitively attend. She continues to experience dizziness, body pain, nausea with vomiting and recently had a nasogastric tube due to malnutrition and dehydration. Since 2019, she has been seen in the ED almost every two to three weeks for IV fluids. She is currently under the care of a medical team.
