Symptomtext

According to mother who was sitting with client in waiting room, approximately 10 minutes after injections, client became pale and seemed "zoned out." She then started to get "flushed" and red blotches on her arms and abdomen. Client denied shortness of breath or trouble swallowing. Vital signs were stable. Nurse monitored client for approximately 30 more minutes. After about 10 minutes post symptoms, blotches started to subside. Client complained of still feeling warm. Client stated she has not had anything to eat since lunch. Nurse discharged client after a total of 45 minutes in the clinic since vital signs were stable and she denied SOB, chest tightness, or difficulty swallowing. Mother informed of potential serious reactions and VIS was given at time of shots.
