Dizziness Feeling hot Feeling jittery Pallor Syncope

Symptomtext

After vaccines were given, patient was sitting upright on exam table, patient got dizzy, lightheaded, and hot and started leaning backwards, patient laid down on exam table(fainted). Patient's skin was pale. Parent states child had not eaten anything today and has fainted before in the past but not when vaccines were given. Jitteriness in hands noted. Patient given juice and a snack. BP- 110/62, O2-99. Color began to return and patient stated he felt better after a few minutes. Patient sat up-right, dangled feet, and stood up without any problems. Patient remained in clinic x 30 minutes. Patient denies any problems, ambulated without any assistance. Educated parent on taking patient to ER/Pediatrician to be evaluated since he has fainted before as well for further testing/bloodwork.

Immediate post-injection reaction Pallor Screaming Syncope

Symptomtext

Upon arrival into clinic room patient visibly anxious with tears, mother reports she does not like shots. Patient reassured and brought into administration room after all vaccines prepared, seated during vaccination, 2 nurses assisted with vaccinating, patient screamed throughout administration and promptly after last vaccine given patient pale and syncopal, lowered to floor upon which she reopened her eyes, legs elevated while supine, mother in room with patient. Patient denies any SOB or symptoms in throat/tongue, no urticaria or anaphylaxis present. Patient transferred to chair and given sips of water, mother reports patient did not eat today yet, given some snacks and she reported feeling better, color back to baseline. Continued to monitor patient in office, reported feeling better and was discharged after 30 minutes.

Symptomtext

Pt had syncopal episode. Placed patient laying down on mat on floor with feet elevated. BP: 121/68, P 50 in Left arm, BP: 110/61, P 56 in Right arm. Pt responded quickly after laying on floor and able to stand up after 5minutes. Patient sat in chair for 15min before leaving. She was AAOX4.

Symptomtext

After last vaccine was given child stated to her mother that she felt light headed. Mother stated that the child looked pale , I took a blood pressure , it was low so I assisted the child to the supine position and elevated her feet. The child continued to play a game on her phone but stated that she still felt lightheaded. I took another blood pressure which was in the range of the child's normal blood pressure according to the mom. I assisted the child to the sitting position and took another blood pressure and noted that the child's skin color had returned. I offered the child some hard candy and she consumed it. I assisted the child to a standing position and she stated that she feels much better and able to leave. I walked the child and mother to the front without assistance.
