AFTER PROVIDING FLU SHOT TO A PT, PT RETURNED TO PHARMACY IN 10-15 MINUTES COMPLAINING ON DIZZINESS. WE OBSERVED PT FOR A COULE OF MINUTES, I ASKED HER IF SHE HAS ANY HEALTH CONDITIONS SUCH AS DIABETES OF HBP. PT SAID SHE HAS DM, AND SHE THINKS HER BG LEVEL WENT DOWN. WE GAVE HER WATER, AND I ADVISED TO EAT SOMENTHING TO RASE HER BG LEVEL. SHE ATE BANNANA AND AFTER A COULPLE OF MINUTES SHE SAID SHE FEELS MUCH BETTER. WE WERE MAKING SURE HER AIRWAYS ARE OPEN, ASKED HER DAUGHTER TO REMOVE HER CAP, TO MAKE SURE SHE IS NOT SWEATING. HER BG LEVELS WERE VERY LOW, (I PERFORMED THE THEST TO CHECK HER BG LEVEL0, IT WAS TOO LOW. I ADVISED HER TO SEE HER PRIMARY CARE DR REGARDING HER BG LEVELS BEING SO LOW. ASKED THEM TO MONITOR HER BP AND GIVE US A CALL IF THEY HAVE ANY CONCERN. ALSO ADVISED TO CALL 911 IN CASE SHE FEELS WORSE LATER TODAY. WE OBSERVED HER FOR 20 MORE MINUTES AFTER SHE SAID SHE FEELS MUCH BETTER.

Patient felt fine after the first 15 minutes. Around 4PM, patient called the pharmacy and said that her arm had swollen up and was red and itchy. Patient's husband had her put on an ice pack (as previously spoken about) and said that the swelling in her arm had gone down.

Patient came to pharmacy to inform us that she experienced confusion about an hour after being vaccinated and lost her way on her way back home. She also had an episode of sleepwalking or walking out of home at night along with hallucination the same night post. She still experience headaches, off and on along with ongoing nausea from her flu shot. Patient is in the process of seeing her medical doctor for more guidance.

She called about 5pm and said she had just took bandaid off and there was dried bllod, and sall circular blue spot around the injection site,and a small knot about size of a pea. She said it was not really painful. When I gave the shot it bled quite a bit. I had put 2 bandaids on it. Sh e said she was taking tylenol for it, I had advised ibuprofen, but she said she could not take it due to stomach issues. SHe said she gets the flu shot every year and that has never happened. I told her to keep taking the tylenol q 6h, and I would follow up with her on 10/21 to make sure its not gotten any worse.

patient was given fluzone hd and arexvy vaccination on 9/26/23 and said she experience pain on left side of stomach and lower back pain, if laying down on left side she experience less pain, but if stand up or sitting up her pain increase . Patient informed also her blood sugars is high in the 200s and 300s in the last 2 days and she did not eat in the last 2 days. Her blood sugar is currently 313 advise her to go to urgent care or E.R. since her blood sugars high in last 2 days. Patient said she thinks the side effects may not be from the vaccines. The side effects were also reported by her friend who stated from the vaccinations , but patient states may not be from vaccination.

Patient received a fluzone hd on 9/14/2023, the then again on 9/21/2023 thinking it was a covid shot she was receiving. Patient reported no problems other than confusion as to what vaccine she received, because the pharmacy had not received covid vaccines yet.
