Symptomtext
He got his vaccine, first flu shot he ever got. At 6:00 PM sitting at the dinner tabhle, just had a full meal and said that he felt dizzy. His wife looked at him, he did not look good and put his hand lightly on his chest, upper part of his chest beneath the clavicle and above his chest area. He said that he was having problems breathing (calm guy in stressful situation). He was breathing in with his mouth and out with his wife trying to control his breathing. He was shallow breathing, not gasping, just trying to get air as he was feeling like he was not getting enough in. This was in a 1 minute period. his wife looked at him, his eyes started to roll backward like he had blurred vision, like he was passing out as he did. He fast twisted like he was smelling a bad egg, like an Ewe look. At that point he was still conscious, she called EMS and the phone started to ring and he went out. She was very freightening and traumatizing. He was sitting in the chair at the table, his body slumped down the chair and his head tilted forward. As his head tilted forward he made a long, long exhale sound kind of like a long groan as if somebodies entire breath was leaving his body. She thought he was dead, he was white but chalky yellow like a dead persons body. He was sweating on his head, water running down his body like somebody poured water over his head, droplets going down his head, bald headed, and you could see it all. She went a grabbed her land line to EMS and they had not answered, and then dialed EMS again with both phones on her hand and she ran out the front door and screamed multiple times for help as loud as she could, he was still unconsciousness. She went back into the house, and was hoping that somebody would hear her and come over, and 2 of her neighbors did come over. He was out for about 1 minute and 10 seconds. They had finally answered, and they were there when he regained consciousness. When he regained his conscious and was relaxed and look like he was waking up from a sleep and his color came back. He then started vomiting seriously and because he had just had a big meal (weighs 140#, 5'9"), and threw up a lot as he had just eaten. He had vegetables and organic food along with beets, which looked like blood. He had 3 vomiting sessions, and then he said that he wanted to lie down. She got him in the bedroom, EMT's came and neighbor suggested they check his sugar, which was fine. They checked his pulse ox and that was 99. They did the EKG which was excellent, and his heart rate was normal. They asked him if he wanted to go to the hospital and he said no that he wanted to go to sleep. They told him that he had to hydrate, gatorade which they left him, which he drank about 1/2 of the bottle. His reaction was precisely from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM. The severe part was when it started and the last of throwing up was 6:30. He had some heaving while he was in the bed. Everybody left at that point, just wanted to lie down and she told him that she was going to come and go every 10 minutes to make sure he was sleeping and not passed out again. She did this for 2-3 hours, and she went to bed at 9:00 PM, and he was fine. She feared a second reaction, but the paramedics told her that there was not going to be another bout of the passing out as he had had the reaction and not a reaction that would come in waves of recurrence. The next day he got up, perfectly normal, did not sound weak, totally normal and back to himself. She asked the paramedics why he would have exhaled all the air, but she described what had happened, and they thought that the exhale of his breath was maybe because his head had flopped forward that maybe his airway had been cutoff somewhat and his bodies way of restoring his air. She did not check his pulse or check him for breathing while he was passed out. She did look at his watch that he was wearing, and it tracks the heartbeat and precisely at the moment it happened his heart beat from 6:01 it was 69 BPM, 6:02:56 it went to 43 BPM, and then it went at 6:08 it was 61, back to 72, and then up and down a little. He has no heart issues. His other heart rates were normal in the 60's range. She called EMS at 6:01 and was on the phone with them for 4 minutes. He was up and alert by 6:03 and calm. He knew his address at that time. When he passed out other than his face twisting it was just like a horrible smell. She asked the paramedics why he would make that facial expressions, and they said just maybe a muscle reaction. There was no trembling, no other part of his body had any reaction other than the bad smell of egg look he had. The paramedics were not alarmed and felt that it was normal his reaction. He called his doctors office, and has a Telemed appointment scheduled but not until 12/1/23. He said that had he not had the vaccine he would have gone to the doctor, and since he had the vaccine did not go. They have been together for 21 years and she has never seen him sick, no cold, congestion or any sinus issues. She is usually incredibly healthy and is a full organic person and never snacks between meals, does not eat sugar, cookies, cakes and is a health nut. She had cancer when he was 35 and she thinks that changed is life and was made aware of his diet that goes in with good health. He does not smoke or drink.
