Symptomtext
Patient developed a rash after being scratched while receiving the MMRV. He pushed the medical assistant's hand away causing a substantial scratch. The remaining amount of vaccine was given 2 cm for the original site. 24 hours later the patient developed a rash that was warm to the touch and slightly hard. There was no fever or breathing difficulty noted. The patient was seen in office two days after original immunization and it was determined that cephALEXin would be an appropriate treatment.
