Experienced significant fatigue, muscle aches, headaches for a full week after receiving the COVID19 bivalent shot and the flu shot. About 8 days after receiving the shots, I had an episode of symptomatic paroxysmal atrial fibrillation at about 02:00 on October 2, 2022. My symptoms were feeling out of breath when normal activities (climbing stairs) and some lightheadedness. I went to the emergency department. later that morning for treatment and they confirm the arrhythmia and performed an electrical cardioversion that morning to return me to normal sinus rhythm. I returned home that day and followed up with a cardiac electrophysiologist on 10/5/22.

BRIEF OVERVIEW: Admission Date: 8/28/2023 Discharge Date: 8/30/2023 DETAILS OF HOSPITAL STAY: PRESENTING PROBLEM: Dizziness [R42] Hypoxia [R09.02] Stroke-like symptoms [R29.90] COVID-19 virus infection [U07.1] HOSPITAL COURSE: The patient is a 73-year-old female who presented the hospital complaints of weakness. Given the nature of patient's symptoms initial concern was for possible acute CVA. The patient did test positive for COVID on admission and was found to be hypoxic. CT of the head was obtained in the emergency department and without acute findings. MRI was subsequently performed and also was negative for acute etiology. Patient's symptoms were felt to be secondary to infectious etiology given her positive COVID status. With Decadron the patient improvement of her respiratory status and overall symptoms. She was additionally sent for MRI of the cervical spine given her complaints right shoulder pain and associated neuropathy. MRI of the neck was without significant spinal stenosis. Today the patient has been weaned to room air and is without complaints of shortness of breath. She feels steady on her feet and his comfortable being discharged home today. Recommendations for follow-up have been discussed with the patient and she is being discharged home today in stable condition

Dizziness Feeling hot Visual impairment

Symptomtext

Following vaccinations patient began to feel warm and got dizzy. Distress button was pushed by MA staff. Immediate response by RN staff, MA staff, and providers. Lowered patient slowly and gently to the ground and elevated feet. Cold compress applied. Patient was orientated to person and place but did report fuzzy vision. Vitals taken. After approximately 10 minutes patient did improve and was able to sit up. He drank apple juice and continued to improve. Stayed for an additional 10 minutes with no further incidents.

Symptomtext

He ate a Pistachio, and his throat was itchy, eyes and lips swelled up. He was able to eat nuts up until this point. We took him to the doctor, and they diagnosed him with Angioedema. He was prescribed Methylprednisolone, and they also prescribed an EpiPen to have on hand. I gave him Benadryl to help with the reaction as well. He has an appointment with an Allergist today to have some tests done to see what he is allergic to.

In January, I went to my primary care physician for my normal physical and when they took my BP it was elevated 142/ 89, and I was on medication, and they asked me to come back 3 weeks later, and it was elevated even more 158/92. They added in medication. They place me on a diuretic. March 8th, I had a blood test, and my creatine/ bun was extremely high, and they stopped the diuretic. They switched out my medicine and that has leveled out except now my calcium score is high and I'm going to see an endocrinologist and they believe something with my parathyroid is off.
