At about 9:00 PM, six hours after receiving the vaccine, my sense of well-being shifted dramatically, and I immediately went to bed. For the next three hours, my entire body constantly shook, with every muscle in my torso shaking explosively. For much of the time, AFIB was experienced and didn't end until about noon today. I did not have tachycardia. If the phenomenon can be called chills, it is the worse occurrence I've ever experienced. I became weak and, several times, couldn't muster the strength to get out of bed, and when I did had trouble standing. Headache accompanied the experience. The picture in my mind was of being rolled about ferociously in a large metal drum. Surprisingly, the seemingly non-stop muscle convulsing did not precipitate a cold sweat. My skin was hot but seemed relatively dry. My temperature rose four degrees from the 97.9 recorded before our medical visit and still has not settled to my average level. In addition, I drank 36 ounces of water over 8 hours and voided less than eight during that time. Testing for COVID this morning returned a negative result.

Symptomtext

Patient reports, "dull minor pain in the left deltoid that radiates to elbow" after receiving the influenza vaccine on 09/26/2022. Per client, "the symptoms have persisted since receiving the vaccine". Patient presented to the Health Department on 11/03/2022 to inform a nurse about the situation. The nurse assessed the arm and stated, "there was no redness, swelling or tenderness". The patient was encouraged to follow up with healthcare provider or the Health department if the symptoms persist.

This case involves a 24 years old and unknown gender patient who experienced 24 year old was administered fluzone hd with no adverse event while receiving vaccine Influenza quadrival a-b high dose hv vaccine [fluzone high-dose quadrivalent]. The patient's past medical history, medical treatment(s), vaccination(s) and family history were not provided. On an unknown date, the patient received a dose of suspect influenza quadrival a-b high dose hv vaccine unknown dose, strength, frequency, formulation, lot UT7715AA via unknown route in unknown administration site for immunization. On an unknown date the patient developed a non-serious 24 year old was administered fluzone hd with no adverse event (product administered to patient of inappropriate age) (unknown latency) following the administration of influenza quadrival a-b high dose hv vaccine. Action taken with quadrivalent influenza vaccine (fluzone high-dose quadrivalent) was not applicable. At time of reporting, the outcome was Unknown for the event 24 year old was administered fluzone hd with no adverse event. This suspected adverse reaction report is submitted and classified as a medication error solely and exclusively to ensure the marketing authorization holder's compliance with the requirements set out in the Directive 2001/83/EC and Module VI of the Good Pharmacovigilance Practices.
