Patient came in on 10/26/2023 to report this event. Said he felt fine the day of his vaccines (flu and covid), then the next evening, he felt a sudden pressure in his chest, a funny feeling in his throat, his pulse was very fast and erratic, and his BP was high. He waited about 10 min to see if it would subside, and it didn't so he went to the ER. There they gave him Nitroglycerin x1 time, and ASA and observed him overnight. They described his condition as a "heart event". His symptoms subsided after the meds were given and he went home the next day. It took him 1 week to feel completely better. All tests done at the hospital showed no damage done to his heart.

Symptomtext

Patient stated after the vaccine. The site where she got the vaccine was hot and red and warm to the touch. The redness was all over the site where she got the vaccine. The doctor seen her on the 4 and gave her some antibiotic thinking it could be due to celulitis.

Symptomtext

No adverse events, but patient is employee of the hospital and received a high dose flu shot in error two weeks after receiving a regular dose flu shot. Patient/employee reported that the first shot had been a COVID vaccine, but she was mistaken. Vaccine consent and record shows that she received a regular dose flu shot (Fluzone by Sanofi, lot UT8076LA) on 9/27/23. Employee was monitored for an hour and checked up on through her work day. No issues reported.

PATIENT WAS CONTACTED SUCCESSFULLY ON 09/21/23 MORNING. PATIENT HAS REPORTED NO ADVERSE REACTION DUE TO SECOND FLUZONE HD DOSE HE RECEIVED. HIS PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN WAS INFORMED.
