Symptomtext

The patient went to the bathroom following the vaccine, and when they came out they fainted, falling down. We helped the patient into a chair and gave them cold water to sip on. We advised the patient to wait, and when they felt better they left with no immediate complications. There was no bleeding, and the patient was oriented to person and place.

Associated symptoms include swelling of deltoid. Patient is here today because her arm is swollen after receiving the flu shot on 10/16/23. Swelling started the night she had her flu shot. Was prescribed hydroxyzine and prednisone. It is unknown if symptoms have resolved.

Symptomtext

Patient was given Spikevax and Fluzone Quad on the same arm. On the area of injection, patient's arm swelled and bruised immediately. I asked the patient to wait for 15 minutes and I placed an ice pack on her arm while she waited. An associated stayed with her just in case any further adverse reaction happens. Patient waited at least 10 minutes and the area seemed to reduce. She said she was fine and wanted to leave.

Patient got 2 vaccine on 8/7 around 5pm. On 8/8 patient experienced redness of the injection area and keep spreading on patient's arm. She also stated that the area is warm to touch. Patient call us on 8/9 to report the symptoms and was recommended by to attend urgent care due to potential allergy symptoms.

Vaccine was received and thawed on 10/19/23 and the BUD was 11/20/2023. Vaccine was administered on 12/07/2023. No adverse events besides determining whether vaccine was/is efficacious.
