Injection site sore for over 48 hours; Large red spot at injection site (baseball sized); Mild itching at injection site; This is a spontaneous report from a contactable consumer, the patient. A 35-year-old non-pregnant female patient received second dose of BNT162b2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 mRNA VACCINE; Lot number: 2613) via an unspecified route of administration in left arm on 22Mar2021 at 12:30 (at the age of 35-years-old) as a single dose for COVID-19 immunisation. Medical history included ulcerative colitis. The patient had allergies to sulfa, morphine and flagyl. The patient previously received first dose of BNT162b2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 mRNA VACCINE; Lot number: 6200) via an unspecified route of administration in left arm on 01Mar2021 at 13:00 (at the age of 35-years-old) as a single dose for COVID-19 immunisation. The patient did not receive any medication within 2 weeks of vaccination. Prior to vaccination, the patient was not diagnosed with COVID-19. Since the vaccination, the patient had not been tested for COVID-19. The patient did not receive any other vaccines within 4 weeks prior to the vaccine. On 22Mar2021 at 14:00, the patient had Injection site sore for over 48 hours, large red spot at injection site (baseball sized) and mild itching at injection site. The red spot was the size of a quarter on day 1 but by day 3 had grown to the size of a baseball. The events had not resulted in doctor/other health care professional office/clinic visit and emergency room/department or urgent care. Therapeutic measures were not taken as a result of the events. The clinical outcome of injection site sore (vaccination site pain), large red spot at injection site (vaccination site erythema) and mild itching at injection site (vaccination site pruritis) was not resolved at the time of this report. No follow-up attempts are needed. No further information is expected.
