Tinnitus/a loud screeching noise in her ear/severe ringing in both ears for over 30 something days now; sore arm; She also developed joint pain in her elbow after the second dose; This is a spontaneous report from a contactable 49-year-old female nurse (patient). A 49-year-old female patient received second dose of bnt162b2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 mRNA VACCINE, solution for injection, Batch/Lot Number: EL9262, Expiry date: unknown) via an unspecified route of administration, administered in Arm Left on 28Mar2021 at 13:30 (at the age of 49-year-old) as a single dose for covid-19 immunization. The patient medical history and concomitant medications were not reported. Historical vaccine included first dose of bnt162b2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 mRNA VACCINE, solution for injection, Batch/Lot Number: EL9262, Expiry date: unknown) via an unspecified route of administration, administered in right arm on 07Mar2021 at 13:30, as a single dose for covid-19 immunization and she didn't get sick at all, had no chills or flu like symptoms. She was tired and stuff for a couple of days, and that was it. She had fatigue but no flu like symptoms, had brain fogginess and abdominal pain after the first one. That lasted for three or four days, and she recovered completely. She also had diarrhea with the first one and it lasted 3-4 days as well. She has never had COVID. She has tested negative 13 times. Patient did not receive any other vaccines within 4 weeks prior to the COVID vaccine. After getting the second dose of bnt162b2, she took the next day off of work. Then, the following day on 30Mar2021, she developed the loud ringing in her ears at 08:00, experienced severe tinnitus and it has been over 30 days now/severe ringing in both ears for over 30 something days now. It is driving her crazy, and she cannot get it to stop. She cannot go to the doctor because she doesn't have insurance. With the second dose, patient also had a sore arm, and normal stuff. The second shot was supposed to be worse, but it was not for the patient. The only thing was 30 hours after the shot she developed a loud screeching noise in her ear. At first, she thought it was the radio, so she turned down the radio. Then, she thought it was her tires, so she pulled over. That was when she realized it was her ears. She is a home health nurse, and it was happening at patient's houses, and it was so loud. Sometimes she was looking for errors with the breathing machines or to see if a fire alarm is going off. It was so loud. Some days, it is super loud. She also developed joint pain in her elbow after the second dose. She had never had joint pain before. She still has it going on. It hurts all of the time. The doctor told her to stay away from caffeine, alcohol, and NSAIDS. NSAIDS would help with the pain though. She has been taking this topical stuff that doesn't work. She has been taking Voltaren with expiration Aug2023, and Lot number 3L2E. Other measures taken included Lipo flavonoid which she has been taking to reduce the tinnitus for up to 3x a day if needed, but it hasn't changed. She did not have the NDC/lot/expiration. She mentioned that she does not have health insurance that is why she cannot go to a doctor for consultation. Asking for recommendations on what to do with the symptoms. She had seen online that a lot of people have been experiencing tinnitus after getting the Pfizer COVID 19 vaccine. She also mentioned that she saw in the news that CEO of Roadhouse committed suicide after experiencing severe tinnitus. Her Nurse practitioner had breast cancer, and when she was on chemo, she had tinnitus. She told her she took Lipo Flavanoid which would help make it a little better. Patient doesn't have NDC/lot/expiration or name of product to do a report for the Nurse practitioner. The patient underwent lab test and procedure which included covid-19 test negative. The outcome of the events tinnitus/a loud screeching noise in her ear/severe ringing in both ears for over 30 something days now and joint pain in her elbow after the second dose was not recovered and the event sore arm was unknown. No follow-up attempts are needed. No further information is expected.
