Symptomtext
3 weeks after injection, I started experiencing acute ovarian pain, heavy menses, lots of blood clots, and the length of my periods increased from a normal 5 days to 10-15 days. The ovarian pain was constant (not just during ovulation or period) and at times debilitating. My OBGYN ran blood tests and a pelvic ultrasound was performed on December 6, 2021, revealing growth on my ovaries and uterus. I had surgery on March 16, 2022 to remove the right ovary, drain the cyst on the left ovary, and remove polyps in my uterus. It is too early to tell whether the surgery resolved bleeding and pain issues.
