Patient received Jansen COID 19 vaccine at 1148 to Left DELTOID. 5 minutes after injection, patient reports feeling a warm sensation run through her body. This was followed by numbness to bilateral hands. Patient assisted to a laying position on gurney and VS checked. BP 162/106, HR 100, Oxygen saturation 100 %, RR 24. Patient encouraged to take deep breaths and try attempt relaxation techniques. Patient followed to report chest tightness and numbness to left upper extremity. VS as follow: BP 205/140, HR 106, RR 20, Oxygen saturation 100% . At this point MD STAT was called to have physician evaluation. On MD arrival patient was noted to report numbness to left side of her body. MD assessed patient and suggested that patient be taken to ED for further observation. Prior to departure BP was noted to be 207/142. IV started and patient transported to ED by MD stat team including physician.
