Symptomtext

-Diagnosed with Shingle Opthalmicus in the left eye on 11/12/2021 (symptoms started 11/06/2020) -Prescribed Valacyclovir HCL 1 gram tablet, Gabapentin 300 mg and increased to 600 mg, Erythromycin 0.5% eye ointment, and Prednisolone AC 1% eye drop -Progressed to Optical Neuritis (admitted to the hospital 12/18/2021 and discharged on 12/22/21). -MRI also showed involvement with the back of the sclera. -Prescribed Acyclovir 822 mg via IV with 0.9% sodium chloride.
