Symptomtext
Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine EUA: COVID-19 case resulting in Hospitalization / Death. Patient received Pfizer Vaccines on 2/24/2021, 3/30/2021, and 11/11/2021. Patient tested COVID positive 1/5/2022 and started cefuroxime and molnupiravir x 2 days from primary care provider. Presented to Emergency Department in respiratory distress on 1/7/2022. Admitted for acute hypoxemic respiratory failure due to COVID-19. Received supplemental oxygen, antibiotics, dexamethasone, and remdesivir. Respiratory status continued to decline, transitioned to comfort care. Patient expired 1/10/2022 at 0908.
