Symptomtext

He got sick on 11/08/22. We took him to the doctor was diagnosed with an ear infection and was prescribed Amoxicillin. He still had the ear infection on 11/22/22, so we went back to the doctor, and he was also diagnosed with hands foot and mouth as well. He was prescribed Amoxicillin-Pot Clavulanate. He got better, then we went back on 12/2/23, because he was having ear trouble again and was having diarrhea. Due to being dehydrated, we stopped taking Amoxicillin until his stomach got better and then we started Amoxicillin again. This lasted until 12/31/22.

Pruritus Throat tightness

Symptomtext

Patient reported back a few minutes after the shot with itching and throat closure but was conscious and breathing. Patient was moved to a chair and refused epinephrine. Patient was instead given Claritin chewables followed by Benadryl and water. After about 15-30min minutes the itching and throat symptoms subsided significantly but not entirely and patient remained under observation for the next hour. Patient requested to return to her desk about an hour after the initial allergic reaction. Patient was also given the Fluzone lot number and other information to report to her PCP. Patient remained concious and talking the entire time. She reported this incident was extremely similar to a prior allergic reaction to the Moderna Covid vaccine but had never happened with a flu shot before. The prior incident caused skin itching and mild throat closure for an entire week and was treated under her PCP recommendation with Benadryl every 3-4 hours. She plans to visit her PCP.
