Patient came in and complained about weakness and dizziness over 1 week. Asked to call 911. She sated for 5 minutes in the waitting room and her husband came to take her to ER.

Headache Scintillating scotoma

Symptomtext

Patient went for 2nd Shingrix on 7/23/21 and while walking in the parking lot, she developed a classic scintillating scotoma on R eye with pounding headache, reminiscent of her prior migraines. She rested when she got home and got a good night sleep; headache abated by the next morning. She has felt fine until this afternoon when she had a scotoma of her L eye, followed by a severe pounding headache to the point of not being able to read. Whenever she has tried to stand up today, the pain has become more severe and she must lie down again. No other neurological deficits. No migraine for years. No prior use of triptans d/t SVT. Vicodin would previously knock it out. PO intake might be less than usual.
