On Dec 2nd the left side of my face lower parts of the chin begin to swell & my left eye begin to swell I went to the Doc. He thought I might had a strock but instead I got Bells palsy & blisters on my stomach. It took me about a month to get over this with predisone.

Herpes zoster Paraesthesia Rash erythematous Swelling

Symptomtext

Pt called and told me that within an after his shingrix shot, he got a red rash and tingling on the left torso to left buttock. He said it felt raised like a big bump. An hour later th patch spread eventually leading growing to front quad and outside left hip in addition to the torso and buttock. All raised and all tingling. He said he saw a teledoc who told him he had shingles. He was told he had shingles by the health care provider. He called and wanted to let us know because the provider told him to do so. Overall his symptoms are relatively mild as he said he heard shingles are a lot worse than what he is feeling. He still wants to get the second vaccination.

Burning sensation Erythema Herpes zoster Pruritus Rash Urticaria

Symptomtext

On Monday November 02, 2020, I went to the pharmacy to receive SHINGRIX vaccine. After receiving the SHINGRIX shot, I developed a burning and itching sensation accompanied by redness on the inside of the rectum and around the tailbone. The itching and burning was very annoying each and every day I applied different OTC medication to the affected area but the symptoms continued. on Sunday November 15, 2020 I went to the clinic for medical attention. I was diagnosed by the attending physician doctor, that I had shingles. Doctor prescribed the drug valacyclovir 1mg, to be take three times a day. I was prescribed a varitity of pills. The symptoms continues, so I went to the dermatologist, in order to rid the hives and rashes on my buttocks and back. Dermatologist prescribed the medications, Prednisone 10mg, Cephalexin 500mg and Triamcolone acetonide cream to be applied to the affected areas. I finally got back to normaland have no annoying symptoms to deal with.

Symptomtext

As warned, arm pain, which was more severe around site of injection. Also, not explained, was extreme fatigue and chills on evening of injection. Achy, mild fever and slight headache the following two days. Site of injections continues to be sore, but other symptoms have since subsided as of this afternoon, 01/27/2021. Took Tylenol in evening and morning to counter symptoms, which provided relief.

Patient was seen 10/19/20 and diagnosed with 'seborrheic dermatitis'. she stated at that visit that the rash was present when seen 9/3/20 but was not noted at that visit note. At the 10/19/20 visit the rash location was on the back of her head and neck. At the 9/3/20 visit, she received her first shingrix vaccine. Patient next was seen 12/2/20 due to worsening rash that was unresponsive, and spreading, to recommendations given at 10/19 visit. Also received 2nd shingrix vaccine at this visit. Lower back and legs are now involved. At this point oral steroids and a stronger steroid cream.. Seen again 12/21/20 as spreading. Referred to dermatology, diagnosis of scabies was made. Patient did not agree with this and did not use medication. Retuned to office again 1/12/21 as worsening, scabies treatment again prescribed and additional derm referral placed. multiple labs were also done throughout, all negative. At this point, we have not heard from second derm referral.

scab formed over the injection site bruising; injection site had bruising; may have hit a blood vessel; This case was reported by a pharmacist via call center representative and described the occurrence of injection site scab in a 73-year-old female patient who received Herpes zoster (Shingrix) (batch number 2ZN2D, expiry date 16th September 2022) for prophylaxis. On 17th October 2020, the patient received the 1st dose of Shingrix (intramuscular). On 17th October 2020, unknown after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced wrong injection technique. On 19th October 2020, the patient experienced injection site bruising. On 24th October 2020, the patient experienced injection site scab. On an unknown date, the outcome of the injection site scab and injection site bruising were recovered/resolved and the outcome of the wrong injection technique was unknown. It was unknown if the reporter considered the injection site scab and injection site bruising to be related to Shingrix. Additional details were reported as follows: The patient received Shingrix in the left arm. The pharmacist reports that upon injection, she might have hit a blood vessel. Injection site had bruising 2 days after the injection, which appeared about 2 days post injection. A scab formed over the injection site bruising at about 7 days post injection, and that had resolved. The reporter consented to follow up.

On 19th June 2021, the patient received the 2nd dose of Shingrix (intramuscular). On 19th June 2021, unknown after receiving Shingrix, the patient experienced accidental underdose, exposure via skin contact and inadvertent exposure to vaccine. On an unknown date, the outcome of the accidental underdose, exposure via skin contact and inadvertent exposure to vaccine were unknown. Additional details were provided as follows: Pharmacist reported that the patient had received Shingrix vaccine in the left deltoid. During administration the vaccine leaked from the syringe and ran down the patient's arm, which led to accidental underdose and exposure via skin contact and Inadvertent exposure to vaccine. The reporter consented to follow up.
