Symptomtext

The patient stated he noticed red bumps forming on his right arm near the arm pit 10 days after receiving the Shingrix vaccine on 12/27/22. The bumps soon blistered and then crusted over. The patient stated " it felt like I was been poked by needles on the bumps for a week or so but it has gone away". The patient reported devolping hives on his upper body soon after noticing the bumps which he sought medical attention for on 2/20/23. The patient was prescribed prednisone and cetirizine. The patient stated he was diagnosed with Shingles.

Symptomtext

Red swollen arm, itchy. Fever and body aches. Pt received vaccine on 11/23/22 and presented with these symptoms on 11/26/22. Pt took Tylenol for fever and body aches. I advised pt to not get second vaccine and to take Benadryl for the apparent allergic reaction. Also told pt to seek medical care if the reaction progresses or affects her respiratory symptom.

Symptomtext

patient had redness in her right arm where the prevnar 20 was given. She said it got worse and the redness spread down her arm almost to her elbow. It was hot and painful to the touch. She called 5 days after and I advised her to try some Benadryl oral or she could try topical benadryl or cortisone. I told her if it didn't improve to call her dr to make sure it wasn't infected.
