Blood pressure increased Condition aggravated Dizziness Respiration abnormal

Symptomtext

Patient remained in the store after receiving his second Shingrix dose. He did not have a reaction to the first dose. About 10-15 minutes after the dose, he returned to the pharmacy counter complaining of dizziness. He was also breathing heavily. I had him sit down and elevated his feet. I took his blood pressure and it was around 180/110. I continued checking it every 10 minutes for 40 more minutes. It remained elevated between 178/114 and 196/118. The patient had another dizziness episode after about 30 minutes. EMS was called. His blood pressure eventually dropped to less than 160 and the patient was able to stand up and left on his own.

THERE WAS AN RED, SCALLY SPOT AT THE INJECTION SITE. IT WAS ITCHY SO PATIENT THOUGH SHE TOOK BENADRYL. IT LASTED AROUND 1 WEEK TO DISAPPEAR.

Fatigue Pruritus Rash

Symptomtext

Patient stated the day after vaccination that he had severe fatigue and a rash with itching that extended over his whole body. He stated the rash and itching subsided after 2 days but was still present. Patient is continuing to have itching and rash present. Patient is using hydrocortisone cream to calm the itching. We suggested to take diphenhydramine tablets and follow up with doctor if itching continues.

Symptomtext

Spoke with patient around 4:00 pm, 2/15/2023 when patient was at the Consultation window of the pharmacy. Patient reported that she had a reaction to Shingrix vaccination administered on 2/8/2023. Patient reported having upset stomach and vomiting after waking abruptly from sleep. Patient reported redness in the injected arm and itchiness for the next two days after the vaccination. Redness went away and was not present according to patient when she was reporting side effects, but patient still has persistent itching in the injected arm since 2/8/2023. Patient reports using over the counter hydrocortisone cream but has had little success in treatment (2 hours of relief, according to the patient). Recommended patient to see PCP if condition persists and recommended patient to take antihistamine for itching to see if patient is able to obtain relief from condition.

Symptomtext

injection site pain and left arm muscle achiness within 15 min of the injection; took one 500 mg Extra Strength Tylenol and 12.5 mg benyldryl (1/2 of a 25 mg tablet) taken at bed time (9 pm). Woke around 6 am with a general muscle stiffness, neck joint discomfort, chills, and malaise. Around 9 am took 200 mg Ibuprofen which relieved the symptoms except the injection site tenderness upon touch.
