Symptomtext

Developed diffuse vesicular rash, that was VZV PCR positive c/w Chicken Pox Disease. Extended hospitalization stay which had been for the management of TB pulmonary infection (approximately an additional 1 week) to receive IV therapy (acyclovir), developed an infiltration while on therapy requiring antidote administration. Plan to complete total 14 day course of acyclovir/valtrex pending rash improvement.
