Vertigo; elevates blood pressure; This is a spontaneous report received from contactable reporter(s) (Other HCP). The reporter is the patient. A 62 year-old female patient received bnt162b2 (BNT162B2), administered in arm right, administration date 07Feb2021 (Lot number: EN5312) at the age of 62 years as dose 2, single for covid-19 immunisation. Relevant medical history included: "Diabetes mellitus" (unspecified if ongoing), notes: Verbatim: Diabetes; "Hypertension" (unspecified if ongoing), notes: Verbatim: hypertension; "Headache" (unspecified if ongoing), notes: Verbatim: Headaches everyday.; "upper respiratory infection" (unspecified if ongoing); "depressed" (unspecified if ongoing); "COVID" (unspecified if ongoing). Concomitant medication(s) included: METFORMIN taken for diabetes mellitus. Vaccination history included: Bnt162b2 (Dose 1, Lot no: E3247, Anatomical site: Left arm), administration date: 17Jan2021, when the patient was 62 years old, for COVID-19 immunization, reaction(s): "left foot pain". The following information was reported: VERTIGO (non-serious) with onset 07Feb2021, outcome "not recovered", described as "Vertigo"; BLOOD PRESSURE INCREASED (non-serious) with onset Feb2021, outcome "unknown", described as "elevates blood pressure". The events "vertigo" and "elevates blood pressure" were evaluated at the physician office visit. Relevant laboratory tests and procedures are available in the appropriate section. The history of all previous immunization with the Pfizer vaccine considered as suspect: LOT - Attempted to confirm caller was provided LOT # for the 1st dose of the Covid 19 Pfizer vaccine. Caller stated there was an E and that she couldn't make out the second letter. Stated E3247. NDC & EXP: In formal field. Prior Vaccinations (within 4 weeks) were reported as no. Stated that, she just only had two vaccines and they were Covid. Additional administered vaccines were reported as no. It was reported that, the caller was a nursing assistant in a nursing home. Stated that, she was called regarding the Pfizer vaccine she has two different side effects. She clarified it was the vaccine for Covid. Stated that, the patient age at adverse event(s) started- 62 she just had a birthday. Primary / Prescribing Healthcare Professional Info: Name - attempted to clarify the spelling of doctors name and asked caller whether she had an address and email address for her Doctor. Caller stated that, she would give the phone number. Stated that, she had to get her medication. He recommended, she reported to Pfizer. Stated that, attempted to confirm that this was her first time calling regarding the adverse events she has experienced related to the Covid 19 vaccine. Stated that, she always called when she gets home from work and sometimes she was the 17th person and today she was off. Stated that, she couldn't use phone at work to call so she called today. Stated that, vertigo: attempted to clarify date. Caller stated, it was right after the second shot. Stated that, she was still having it. It was persisting on a daily basis at work. Stated that, her head keeps rocking back and forth, very hard and sometimes sideways. Treatment: The doctor gave her the phone number for a doctor for vertigo. Stated that, she had to call her insurance company for payment to make sure its covered. Caller stated that pharmacy came to her job. Indication: She took it because she's prediabetic, prehypertension and taking care of Covid patients. Stated that, she has to wrap dead bodies and call handler has no idea. She was on anti-depressants so depressed after what she's been through. People died and they were like family and affected her tremendously. Attempted to clarify whether caller wanted to include any medications she was taking within two weeks of the Covid 19 vaccine in the reports. Caller stated as no, she's just taking her diabetes drug and hypertension drug. Metformin: Attempted to clarify with caller when she started taking Metformin. Caller stated, since covid, last year, March her blood pressure and diabetes elevated, she had an upper respiratory infection since then and her blood pressure. The description of product complaint included that, during covid she has had terrible headaches since march, since last April of last year. Since covid came in, diabetes and hypertension, headaches everyday. She had an MRI. No further details provided. Stated that, on different medications for pain, oxycodone and everything and it didn't go away. Attempted to clarify with caller whether she has an NDC, LOT, EXP for the oxycodone. Caller stated, she stopped taking it. Stated that, it was not helping. Didn't go away. Stated that, she was very depressed and she has to work for her family and bills. Stated that, her second shot was on 07Feb2021 before 12, her vertigo gets worse and then elevates blood pressure. Any AE(s) require a visit to: Emergency Room was reported as no. Physician Office - She called her doctor she keeps having it. Stated that, she heard on the news that a lot of people had side effects and they go away, hers has been since Feb. No follow-up attempts are possible. No further information is expected.
