Symptomtext

Developed symptoms of SARS-CoV-2 infection including shortness of breath, cough and was tested due to persistence of symptoms despite antibiotic treatment. Antigen testing was positive. Approximately 1 week after symptom onset patient was noted to be lethargic and confused by family who contacted EMS. Patient was hypoxic in ER and required 8 L of O2. Was admitted with COVID-19. Subsequently did decompensate on the floor and required intubation. Currently intubated receiving remdesivir, dexamethasone, and antibiotics.

hives forming on chest; dizzy; tongue started feeling very heavy; This is a spontaneous report from a contactable consumer, reporting for herself. A 33-year-old female patient received first dose of BNT162B2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 VACCINE, solution for injection, lot number: EN6201), via an unspecified route of administration at the left arm on 22Feb2021 14:30 at a single dose for COVID-19 immunization. Vaccination was done in a Public Health Department. The patient medical history was not reported. The patient was not pregnant. No other vaccine was received in four weeks. Concomitant medication included zinc sulfate (ZINC), magnesium and vitamin D NOS. The patient previously took amoxicillin and experienced known allergies: amoxicillin. The patient experienced tongue started feeling very heavy on 22Feb2021, dizzy on 22Feb2021 14:40 and hives forming on chest on 22Feb2021 14:45 and was hospitalized on 22Feb2021. The patient started feeling dizzy within the first ten minutes. Noticed hives forming on chest at around the fifteen-minute mark. The nurse insisted on observing her for thirty minutes. Around thirty-five minutes, her tongue started feeling very heavy. Nurse on site administered an Epi pen and she was sent to the hospital for observation. Treatment included famotidine, dexamethasone, diphenhydramine, s.chlori (as reported). It was unknown if the patient had COVID prior to vaccination. The patient was not COVID tested post vaccination. The outcome of the events was recovering.

Symptomtext

Onset of sweating, lightheadedness, dizziness, shakiness, about 5 minutes after vaccination. Taken to medical area, BP 180/100s, HR 90, Temp normal. Exam normal except for hand tremors. Minimal liquid and no food intake in last 24 hours. POC glucose 96 a minute or two after eating crackers. Given more food and water. Initial symptoms improved but continued hand tremors and persistent hypertension to high 170s/high90s for over 1 hour, HR 70s. One BP 160s/90s HR 60 but then back to BP systolic 170s. Transferred patient to local emergency room for further evaluation. Patient reported that he was discharged from ED after several hours that evening.

Patient was administered vaccine at 11:00 AM in the left deltoid muscle IM. Patient reported feeling chest tightness, heaviness as if someone was sitting on her chest, pressure on her chest, and found it a little hard to breath at 11:10 am. Patient had a history of congestive heart failure and suffers from anxiety, but wasn't sure if the chest pain was due to her past medical history or the vaccine. At 11:17 am the chest pain remained the same. At 11:30 she was still feeling chest pressure and her right arm was feeling weak. At 11:30 Heart rate was 56, Blood Pressure was 138/72, and respiratory rate was 12. EMS was called at 11:35. Patient was taken to the hospital once EMS arrived.

Medical history included asthma and food allergy (Pineapple) from an unknown date and unknown if ongoing. Concomitant medications included escitalopram (ESCITALOPRAM), minocycline (MINOCYCLINE) and ethinylestradiol, etonogestrel (NUVARING) taken for an unspecified indication, start and stop date were not reported. A 73-year-old female patient received first dose of bnt162b2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 VACCINE, Solution for injection, Batch/Lot Number: EN6021; Expiration Date: Jun2021) via intramuscular route of administration, administered in arm left on 12Feb2021 09:45 (at the age of 73-year-old) at dose 1, single for covid-19 immunisation. Medical history included Retroperitoneal Liposarcoma/Diagnosed 10 years ago with 4 surgeries last one being Aug 2020 and cancer (I am a cancer patient). Concomitant medications were not reported. The patient experienced Sore arm started at 5pm that day. It has improved, but it is a little itchy now on an unspecified date in 2021, sore left arm on 12Feb2021 17:00, chills and shivers on 12Feb2021 22:00, slept almost the entire day, headache, joint pain in legs and neck, loss of appetite on 13Feb2021. Reporter has experienced quite some side effects from the 1st dose of the vaccine and is asking if the side effects of the 2nd dose will be more severe as she's heard it to be like that. She is also asking for any contraindications of the vaccine as she is a cancer patient. Received covid vaccine on Friday. Calling in to report her side effects. Received call from consumer regarding the Pfizer COVID vaccine. She had her first dose last Friday. She would like to report symptoms from that. She did not wish to provide an address or email. There was no prescriber. She is with a Health Service and filled out a questionnaire, and the next day found out she was eligible. Sore arm started at 5pm that day. It has improved, but it is a little itchy now. She was not aware of the joint pain on 13Feb2021 because she was wiped out and was not totally aware. She was not eating and was sleeping all day that day. She is still feeling wiped out since yesterday, but it has improved. She has questions about second dose. She wanted to know if it will be worse with second dose. NO ER or physician's office required. Prior Vaccinations (within 4 weeks) was none. Adverse events following prior vaccinations was none. Outcome of the event Sore arm started at 5pm that day. It has improved, but it is a little itchy now was unknown and remaining other events was resolving. Follow-up (01Apr2021): Follow-up attempts are completed. No further information is expected.

Patient had adverse reaction to shot #1 including rash, increased heart rate, nausea so she decided that she wanted to get Moderna instead of Pfizer. Appointment was scheduled and she received her 2nd shot Moderna. Side effects included 3 days of severe symptoms of fatigue, nausea, vomiting, chills, fever and over all severe body aches. Aside from the above, no other reactions noted from 2 different vaccines. Patient was called and educated.

My Hgb is normally above 14 gm/dL. On02/22/21at 5:00 pm I began to pass a large amount of bright red blood rectally. On 05/23/21 I called my Dr. & went to the ER that same morning. They CT scan & I was admitted. The rectal bleeding continued until 02/26/21. On 02/25/21 after doing a prep, I had a colonoscopy. Results showed bright red blood I colon which made visualization difficult. Conclusion was that bleeding was thought to be result of bleeding from diverticulitis in the sigmoid colon. I never had a rectal bleed before or since. Several meds were discontinued. Asa, ibuprofen, guaifenesin, & tapered off oral budesonide. Hgb was 7.1 on discharge on 02/26/21.
