The morning after the 1st shot both hands were swollen and painful. knots on thumb jointss and redness with swelling. Knuckles were swollen. Could not make a fist and couldn't open jars or pull up pants. Too painful. I didn't think much about it until the 2nd shot. It was getting a little better and then the morning after the 2nd shot my hands were really swollen and the pain was severe. Two weeks later after no relief I went to my primary physician and didn't really get any information or tests. He said "give it a couple of months and see if it is better". I went to a specialist June 10th because it was not better. All he did was take x-rays and prescribe a topical ointment and ibuprofen. He said I have osteoarthritis and it is not bad enough to cause the problem I'm having. He suggested I see a rheumatologist. I have never had this problem until after the COVID vaccine. I cannot open jars, I drop anything I pick up. I can't open doors or anything I have to push with my thumbs. It is hard to get dressed. It is causing a lot of trouble. I have searched and searched online to see if anyone else has had this problem. I would like to know that, because I'm convinced the vaccine caused severe inflammation that has caused this problem for me. I'm wondering if it will go away. As of now, it is just as bad as it was right after the vaccination.
