diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism; dry cough; This is a spontaneous report received from a contactable consumer (patient). A 75-year-old male patient received BNT162B2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 VACCINE), via an unspecified route of administration, administered in Arm Left on 11Mar2021 10:45 (Lot number: EN620A) as 2nd dose, single (at age of 75-year-old) for covid-19 immunization. Medical history included diabetes mellitus and cholesterol. Concomitant medications in two weeks prior to the vaccination included acetylsalicylic acid (ASPIRIN 81), cyanocobalamin (VITAMIN B-12) and metformin. First vaccine dose of BNT162B2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 VACCINE), was administered on 18Feb2021 in Left arm (at age of 75-year-old) for COVID-19 immunization, lot number: EL9262. Patient did not receive other vaccine in four weeks prior to the COVID vaccine. The patient was not diagnosed with COVID-19 prior to vaccination. It was reported that on 11Mar2021 patient received his second (2nd) shot. Late in Mar2021 or early Apr2021 he developed a dry cough and on 21Apr2021 was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism. Events resulted in Doctor or other healthcare professional office/clinic visit and Emergency room/department or urgent care. Onset date of the events was reported as 01Apr2021. Event pulmonary embolism required admission to hospital for one day (dates unknown) event also considered serious as life-threatening. Patient was treated for the events with blood thinner infusion with (w/) Eliquis follow up. It was reported that since the vaccination, the patient has been tested for COVID-19. As of 10May2021, it was reported that the patient had a blood clot in his lung; he has pulmonary embolism in his left lung. The patient had the last shot on 11Mar2021 and he started experiencing a clot two weeks after that and then, he was not diagnosed with the blood clot in 21Apr2021 he believed; he was experiencing coughing system two or three weeks before when he was actually diagnosed with the blood clot. The patient has been treated for blood clot for long, he doesn't know what is that, he was on Eliquis (treatment for blood clot) to break up the clot or still in his blood or whatever the process is, it takes like three months. When he was hospitalized for this, he had been on Heparin trip for about 12 hours heparin blood DNA they had been intravenous. The patient underwent laboratory tests and procedures which included sars-cov-2 test: negative on 21Apr2021. Patient was recovering from the events. Information on the lot/batch number has been requested. Follow-up (10May2021): New information reported from a contactable consumer includes: medical history, concomitant medication and clinical course details.

Tuesday the pain was intense and scheduled a appoint with my doctors office they scheduled a ultra sound and blood work no findings of a blood clot; The pain is not as intense but she is still limping around and in pain.; I had severe leg cramping and body cramping; The next day my leg hurt behind the knee in the calf and the thigh. I could hardly walk by Sunday and went to urgent care they check my leg over could not see a reason for my pain.; This is a spontaneous report from a contactable consumer or other non-health care professional (Patient). A 51-year-old Non-pregnant female patient received bnt162b2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 VACCINE, solution for injection, Lot Number: EN620A and expiration date was not reported), second dose via an unspecified route of administration, administered in Arm Left on 01Apr2021 (at the age of 51 years) as single for covid-19 immunization. Medical history included ITP and diabetes from an unknown date and unknown if ongoing. Patient also had Penicillin Allergy from an unknown date and unknown if ongoing. The patient concomitant medications were not reported. Historical vaccine included bnt162b2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 VACCINE, solution for injection, Lot Number: EN6204 and expiration date was not reported), first dose via an unspecified route of administration, administered in Arm right on 11Mar2021 11.00 as single for covid-19 immunization. Patient was not diagnosed with COVID-19, prior vaccination and since the vaccination. Patient did not receive any other vaccines within 4 weeks prior to the COVID vaccine and medications in two weeks. On 02Apr2021 the patient experienced leg hurt behind the knee in the calf and the thigh. she could hardly walk by Sunday and went to urgent care they check my leg over could not see a reason for my pain. They didn't visually see a blood clot and sent me home. she had severe leg cramping and body cramping. Tuesday the pain was intense and scheduled a appoint with my doctors office they scheduled a ultra sound and blood work no findings of a blood clot. she also scheduled an appointment with a chiropractor and had no indication of back or knee injuries. she had severe pain for over two month in leg knee lower leg and thighs. The pain is not as intense but she is still limping around. The patient underwent lab tests and procedures which included glycosylated haemoglobin found to be 5.8 on unspecified date. The outcome the events was recovering.

Pain in left knee. I cannot put my weight on it.; This is a spontaneous report from a contactable consumer (patient). A 69-years-old female patient received BNT162B2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 VACCINE), second dose via an unspecified route of administration, administered in Arm Left on 16Mar2021 15:00 (Lot Number: En620A) as SINGLE DOSE for covid-19 immunisation, at 69 years old at Pharmacy or Drug Store. Medical history included allergies: food from an unknown date. Patient is not pregnant. No COVID prior vaccination. No other vaccines in four weeks. No other medications in two weeks. Patient received the first dose of BNT162B2, (Lot number: En198) on 23Feb2021 15:00 at right arm for Covid-19 immunization, at 69 years old. The patient's concomitant medications were not reported. The patient experienced pain in left knee. She cannot put my weight on it on 16Mar2021 16:00. Treatment was received for the event (reported as ultra sound and X ray). Lab tests included ultra sound and x ray with unknown results on Mar2021. Event required emergency room and physician office visit. Patient was not tested for COVID post vaccination. Outcome of the event was not recovered. Seriousness criteria was reported as disability.
