flushed; extremely tired; metallic taste in mouth; This is a spontaneous report from a contactable consumer, the patient. A 64-year-old non-pregnant female patient received the first dose of BNT162b2 (PFIZER-BIONTECH COVID-19 mRNA VACCINE; Lot number: EN6706) via an unspecified route of administration in the left arm on 24Mar2021 at 11:45 (at the age of 64-years-old) as a single dose for COVID-19 immunisation. Medical history included overweight by about 25 pounds. Concomitant medications included echinacea (MANUFACTURER UNKNOWN) and simvastatin (MANUFACTURER UNKNOWN) at 10 mg daily and unspecified multivitamin (MANUFACTURER UNKNOWN), all since unknown dates for unspecified indications. Prior to the vaccination, the patient was not diagnosed with COVID-19. Since the vaccination, the patient had not been tested for COVID-19. The patient did not receive any other vaccines within 4 weeks prior to the COVID vaccine. The patient previously received codeine and trimethoprim (+) sulphamethoxazole (BACTRIM) in the past and experienced drug allergy. On 24Mar2021 at 12:00, the patient started to have metallic taste in her mouth. It lasted for 3-4 hours. She also became flushed and extremely tired after about 20 minutes. The flushing lasted about an hour and she was feeling bone-tired even after 24 hours. The adverse events did not result in doctor or other healthcare professional office/clinic, emergency room/department or urgent care. The patient did not receive any treatment for the reported events. The clinical outcomes of the events metallic taste in mouth and flushed were recovered on 24Mar2021 while that of the event tiredness was not recovered. No follow-up attempts are needed. No further information is expected.
